3 WHAT S NEW Models Available SLC 300 S.O.P. 05/01/16 SLC 43 S.O.P. 05/01/16 Change Highlights 4 New model designation / nomenclature SLC Elimination of the SLK 350 and SLK 55 replaced by SLC 43 Range topping 3.0-litre V6 Biturbo introduced (SLC 43) with 362 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque DYNAMIC SELECT becomes standard on all models Sport Exhaust System is standard on the SLC 300, AMG Performance Exhaust is standard on the SLC 43 Active Brake Assist (previously known as Collision Prevention Assist) becomes standard on all models Electric Luggage Compartment Separation is added as standard to all models (a divider is electrically triggered to distinguish available trunk space when roof is in boot of vehicle) NTG5*1 (New Telematics Generation) is implemented on all models (revised user interface, navigation, telephone, audio, video, and internet functions) Smartphone Integration, Rearview Camera, and DVD Drive become available as part of the Premium Package across all models AMG RIDE CONTROL Sports Suspension becomes part of the AMG Driver s Package (SLC 43 only) Sporty Engine Sound is standard for the SLC 300 (sound enters the cabin through the audio system)

10 Innovation: 9G TRONIC Transmission Standard on all models Featuring nine forward gears, this automatic transmission takes efficiency, comfort and dynamism to a completely new level. It is the world s first 9-speed automatic transmission with hydrodynamic torque converter in the premium segment. Its high efficiency helps to reduce fuel consumption. The ECO Start/Stop Function ensures that the engine is switched off at traffic lights to reduce fuel consumption even further Faster, smoother and more efficient gear changes, which in turn enhances ride comfort and reduces noise levels 11

11 Innovation: DYNAMIC SELECT Standard on all models DYNAMIC SELECT allows drivers to choose between comfortable, athletic, sporty and efficient driving styles. Drivers can also choose their own individually defined style. Parameters such as the engine, transmission and steering characteristics are adjusted according to the transmission mode selected by the driver Accessing the DYNAMIC SELECT controller is made easy as it is located in the center console DYNAMIC SELECT has five different transmission modes (Eco, Sport, Sport+, CURVE, and Individual) 12

12 Innovation: COMAND Online Available on all models as part of the Premium Package COMAND Online controls and displays information regarding navigation, telephone, audio, video, and internet. There are also many more functions including the use of MB Apps via smartphone tethering. High-resolution media display with 7 screen Access to websites when the vehicle is stationary Bluetooth interface with hands-free function, text message/ read and write functions, and audio streaming for music transmission LINGUATRONIC voice control system integration Two USB ports in the center armrest and SD card slot in the COMAND control panel Smartphone integration (a smarter and safer way to use your compatible mobile device while driving) 13

13 Innovation: Smartphone Integration (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) Available with Premium Package on all models With Smartphone Integration it is possible to integrate an iphone into the vehicle via Apple CarPlay and also Android smartphones via Android Auto and operate them by voice control and COMAND controller Functionality includes: Placing and receiving calls Reading and dictating text messages Navigation to and from locations Music streaming Podcast and audio book streaming Siri/Google Now voice assistant Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are completely separate & independent interfaces from the customary Mercedes-Benz infotainment system (they cannot be used at the same time) Requires a compatible iphone to be plugged into a specific USB port Standard messaging and data rates apply 14

14 Innovation: AMG RIDE CONTROL Available on the SLC 43 as part of the AMG Driver s Package - Delayed With adaptive adjustable damping, AMG RIDE CONTROL provides three suspension tunes. Via DYNAMIC SELECT, the driver can select between "Comfort", "Sport" and "Sport+ adjusting the damping characteristics from comfortable cruising to emphatically sporty. 15 Provides exhilarating driving dynamics and the brand's hallmark comfort on long journeys Damping system continuously in operation, improving handling safety, road roar and tire vibration characteristics Controlled individually for each wheel and is dependent on the driving style, road surface condition, and the selected suspension setting Maximum neutrality (minimal understeer/oversteer) with outstanding traction AMG-specific kinematics and elastokinematics result in very high stability during dynamic cornering

15 Innovation: Active Brake Assist (Previously known as Collision Prevention Assist) Standard on all models Active Brake Assist gives the driver a visual warning if a vehicle in front is too close. On detecting the danger of a collision, an acoustic warning occurs in the instrument cluster. If the driver fails to react, the vehicle speed is reduced autonomously. Active Brake Assist helps to minimize the risk of a rear-end collision and mitigate the consequences of an accident Combination of radar-based distance warning, assisted braking, and autonomous braking helps to avoid collisions or reduce the impact of accidents 16
