3 Commentary by BLLW First off, we at Broadway Limited Locomotive Works would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your purchase of our brand new Northeast Classics Series of rolling stock for Railworks 2 and Railworks 3 This Guide has been developed to give you the overall background information, details, and installation information for this exciting new series, and will continue to be updated as each new car is released. Broadway Limited Locomotive Works prides itself in specializing in equipment designed for fans of Eastern Railroading, with our usual, main focal point being stock operated by the Pennsylvania Railroad and occasionally others. The Northeast Classics Series is focused on the 1949 Broadway Limited. The Flagship streamliner of the Pennsylvania Railroad from Operating as trains #28 and #29 (#28 operating from NY Penn Station to Chicago Illinois, and #29 covering Chicago Illinois to NY Penn Station), the Broadway was the premiere train in the fleet, and always got the newest equipment, whether it be in the form of the new EMD E8 s or EMD E7 s, The newer of the GG1 Fleet (for when on the Electrified section from Harrisburg to New York Penn Station), or the brand new Budd, American Car and Foundry or Pullman cars that made up the train the Broadway Limited always had the best. For this Series, Broadway Limited Locomotive Works will be releasing the train car by car as each is groomed over to a level of perfection with which we can only hope would be fitting of such an iconic and nostalgic streamliner, and continually upgrade this guide to suit. In the meantime, I am proud to present the 1949 Broadway Limited from Broadway Limited Locomotive Works, and hope that this consist will allow you, the end user, to enjoy the Nostalgia and excitement of Riding this magnificent train. 7 About the Northeast Classics Broadway Limited The Northeast Classics Broadway Limited is designed to portray the Broadway Limited as it appeared between 1949 and its last years of operation as an All- Pullman consist (1967) with two different liveries included: The original scheme of 1948 with Black Roof, trucks and underbody equipment, Tuscan sides, and Bronze Gold lettering and pin striping, and the later era scheme that replaced the Bronze gold striping and lettering with Buff gold. 8 Part I: Installing your high Quality Northeast Classics Series Add on 1. Begin your installation by extracting the main install file for your add on to the desktop or another safe place. At this point, you ll also want to have the download page or a printout with your download link in easy reach for the following steps. 2. Running the installer, you ll come to a screen asking for a Serial number. Please copy and paste this directly from the download link you book marked (if going from a printout, please type the serial carefully, as it is case and spelling sensitive.) 3. Once the password is in place, click next and proceed to where it asks for your Simulator s path. 4. At this point, please make sure that the installer is pointing correctly to your Railworks directory ( usually: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\railworks\ ) 5. Once this step is completed, please continue to follow the dialogs to the completion of the installer. At this point, you may close up this guide.

9 Part II: Northeast Classics Series Features and commands The Northeast Classics Series includes many unique features exclusive to this series. To activate a number of these features, Broadway Limited Locomotive Works has also gone the extra mile to commission a special motive power set dedicated to hauling your 1949 Broadway Limited. Set Broadway Limited Head End Stock Operational Features (Functions denoted with an asterisk operate based on coupling) -Functional Diaphragms * -Functional Steam, Signal and brake Lines * -Functional Marker Lights - To operate, headlight must be set to dim -Doors - (at station stops only) Hit T key -Mail Catches and mail pickup doors - Left side: Hit M Key. To close, hit M again Right side: Hit N Key. To close, hit N again NOTE: Mail catch functions will only operate with equipment that is either Northeast Classics Series Compatible, or models specially outfitted with the Northeast Classics RPO Scripting pre-installed.

This system was used by railroads to help their passengers find which car to board. Upon clicking on a car in the editor, you will probably see something like A2801, C2801, or A2901. Below is a basic breakdown of how the numbering is situated: A (Letter) - Car name. On all models, A through Z will be used for names. X is retained as a blank number 2801 or First two numbers (28) are the train number. The last three digits (01) are the loading numbers. A typical train may only carry fourteen to sixteen loading cars. (Example ) If you do not feel like using these, simply renumber your car as A-Z and replacing the 2801 with XXXX to blank out these boards.
