1 POST SHOW REPORT EPRE 2015 DELIVERING GREEN BUSINESS Hosted By: Electric, Power & Renewable Energy Malaysia 2015 (EPRE 2015) concluded on a successful note! Held from 25 to 27 March 2015 at the KLCC Convention Centre, EPRE 2015, hosted by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) had attracted a total of 211 participating companies from 24 countries / nations. This included 2 international pavilions from Germany and Korea as well as 2 industry pavilions from the TNB Vendors Development Programme ( TNB BVDP ) and TEEAM. EPRE 2015 also saw a total of 3257 trade visitors from 39 countries visit the exhibition over the 3 days. During the show, a total of 170 B2B meetings were generated and facilitated. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all the exhibitors, visitors and VIPs specifically our host TNB for making EPRE 2015 a success. Special thanks to the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia (KeTTHA), Energy Commission, Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (MGTC), SEDA Malaysia, Malaysian Photovoltaic Industry Association (MPIA), Malaysia Cable Manufacturers Association (MCMA), The Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE). 2 Exciting business activities were conducted at EPRE 2015, namely :- Smart Grids Talk 2015 by Fleming Gulf Conferences and Power Quality Workshop by The Electrical & Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM) on 25 March Technical Seminars throughout the show days was conducted by various speakers from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), The Energy Regulatory Commission of The Philippines, Malaysia Cable Manufacturers Association (MCMA), UNITEN, TNB Research, International Capacitors (Spain) and fellow Exhibitors. The Opening Ceremony on 26 March 2015 was officiated by Dato' Seri DiRaja Mahdzir Khalid, the Deputy Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia (KeTTHA), followed by a tour to the exhibition. Special attendance of 6 Hosted VIPs from HWB Asia Pacific (The Philippines), Energy Regulatory Comission of The Philippines, Public Utility Commission of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority, Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia and SOLEXEL Malaysia. Special Show Visit by the Spanish Association of Electrical Equipment Manufacturers (AFME). 2 International Pavilions: German & Korea; and 2 Industry Pavilions: The TNB Bumiputera Vendors Development Programme (TNB BVDP) & TEEAM. Hosted by TNB, the EPRE 2015 Exhibitors Reception was held inside the exhibition hall, at TNB s booth on the evening of 26th march B2B Business Matching Platform. Coordinated by SocialWalk, EPRE 2015 saw a total of 170 business meetings generated and facilitated throughout the 3-day show. Opening Ceremony by The Deputy Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia (KeTTHA) The Opening Ceremony of EPRE 2015 was officiated by Dato' Seri DiRaja Mahdzir Khalid, the Deputy Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia (KeTTHA) on the 26th March It was then followed by a VIP Tour to the exhibition halls. Joining the Guest of Honour were: the Deputy Secretary General of KeTTHA, Dato Dr. Nadzri Yahaya; President/CEO of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Datuk Seri Ir. Azman Mohd; and Chairman of Malaysian Exhibition Services, Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin. Best Booth Awards Presentation Exhibitors Reception For the first time, the EPRE 2015 Exhibitors Reception was held inside the exhibition hall! Taking place at the TNB s booth. The reception welcomed all the exhibitors and VIPs of EPRE 2015 on the evening of 26th March Award presention by, Dato Ir. 3 Technical Seminars Technical Seminars were conducted throughout the 3-day exhibition, presenting industry tips and advancement to the visitors. Speakers included representatives from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), The Energy Regulatory Commission of The Philippines, Malaysia Cable Manufacturers Association (MCMA), UNITEN, TNB Research, International Capacitors (Spain) and various Exhibitors. Power Quality Workshop & Smart Grids Talk On the 25th March 2015, a conference and a workshop were held in conjunction with EPRE 2015, namely: Smart Grids Talk 2015 by Fleming Gulf Conferences: a gathering of professionals who discussed the Smart Grids technology development in Asia Pacific. B2B PROGRAMME There was business-to-business meetings conducted between exhibitors throughout the 3 days of EPRE 2015 and not to forget there were the special B2B arrangements between our host, TNB and the exhibitors. Private sessions were conducted throughout the show and a total 170 business meetings we concluded at EPRE Power Quality Workshop by TEEAM: a Power Quality (PQ) focused workshop which included topical discussions of PQ fundamentals, PQ regulations, mitigations, case studies and PQ assessment. Group Visit by: Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) IGEM Special Feature IGEM 2015 Special Signing Ceremony at EPRE 2015 which took place on the 26 March A Special Contract Signing Ceremony was held at the IGEM 2015 booth. 5 companies signed their Participation Contract, namely: Amtech Power, Hanwha Q CELLS, Malaysian Solar Resources, Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MITB) and SIRIM, witnessed by Dato' Seri DiRaja Mahdzir Khalid, the Deputy Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia (KeTTHA).
