Indicator is activated via the engine control moduel(ecm) by two overheat sensors mounted on the engine. Minimum 5PSI to 12PSI Less than 23psi AT 1800rpm, the GREEN light will go off, ECM will gradually reduce speed, stop engine and check and service the oil level, restart engine, the GREEN light should come on within 30 seconds and throttle operation should be normal. If the light remains off the RPM will not increase with throttle movement. RED light, each alternator is rated at 12 VDC, 60 amp at 2300 RPM and produces 48 amps of power at 1000RPM. Crewmember rig the anchor, if needed Discuss abandon boat options LOSS OF STEERING 1. Reduce RPMs on both engines 2. Notify crew of casualty 3. Verify current position and evaluate situation 4. Coxswain steer with engines, if possible 5. Crewmember investigate casualty 6. Crewmember rig anchor, if needed 7. Place engines in NEUTRAL 8. Attempts made to repair steering system 9. Test engines for complete range of motion 10. Engage engines separately 11. Keep RPMs at minimum speed Notify Unit COLLISION W/ SUBMERGED OBJECT LOSS OF LUBE OIL PRESSURE 1. Reduce RPMs to NEUTRAL on both engines 2. Notify crew of casualty 3. Coxswain verify position 4. Crewmember check all other compartments for flooding 5. Take appropriate measure to reduce flooding, if applicable 6. Engage engines at various speeds to check for vibration. Notify Unit of situation 1. Reduce RPMs to clutch ahead on both engines 2. Identify affected engine 3. Notify crew of casualty 4. Secure affected engine(s) 5. Verify current position and evaluate situation 6. Crewmember check outboard engine and assess the situation 7. Crewmember rig anchor, if needed 8. Fire extinguishers O/S 9. Check engine compartment area for lube oil 10. Check lube oil for quality and quantity 11. Notify Unit 12. Return to unit if cause cannot be determined or repaired

4 HIGH WATER TEMPERATURE LOSS OF FUEL PRESSURE DISCREPANCIES MAJOR DISCREPANCY ENGINE AND BOAT SYSTEMS 1. Reduce RPMs to CLUTCH ahead on both engines 2. Identify affected engine(s) 3. Notify crew of casualty 4. Verify current position and evaluate situation 5. Secure engine, if temperature continues to rise 6. Check overboard discharge 7. Crewmember check outboard engine to assess the situation 8. Crewmember rig anchor, if necessary 9. Outboard cooling water intake ports checked Notify Unit 1. Reduce RPMs on both engines to CLUTCH ahead 2. Check fuel gauge 3. Identify affected engine 4. Notify crew of casualty 5. Verify current position and evaluate situation 6. Crewmember rig anchor, if directed by coxswain 7. Check bilges 8. Check primary fuel filters 9. Check entire fuel system for leaks 10. Check governor and linkage 11. Identify and correct source of problem or request additional assistance from Unit Discrepancies which degrade the effectiveness of the boat to perform one or more missions. Major discrepancies are divided into 5 categories- - Electric cabin dewatering pump hose missing hose clamps - Loose/ missing fittings, nuts, bolts, brackets, etc. - Loose/ missing hardware on the engines used for attaching accessories and sensors - Battery terminals loose or corroded - Engine control cables loose - Fluid levels below minimum required - Charging system faulty or inoperative - Any standard boat machinery, with exception of those listed on the disabling or restrictive list, not operating properly BOAT OUTFIT - Life ring and/or distress light missing/ unserviceable - Missing seat belts ELECTRONICS/ NAVIGATION GENERAL MATERIAL AND SAFETY - Compass light inoperative - Expired deviation table - Any standard boat electronics, with the exception of those listed on the restrictive or disabling casualty list, not operating properly - Watertight integrity - Improperly repaired, altered, or damaged hull or collar - Damage to folding radar pod - Any standard boat machinery, with the exception of those listed on the restrictive or disabling casualty list, not operating properly TRAILER - Loose, missing, or improper hardware - Brake fluid level low - Non-standard tie-down straps RESTRICTIVE DISCREPANCIES ENGINE AND BOAT SYSTEMS - Discrepancies which restrict the operations of the boat such that it can perform some missions, but not all missions safely, divided into 5 categories - Engine performance: minimum RPM of 4400 for two minutes - Leaks more than 15 drops per minute - Outboard cooling water components - Outboard engine lubrication system components - Steering actuator helm pump, hoses or fittings - Diesel fuel

5 ENGINEERING SYSTEM COMPONENTS ELECTRONICS/ NAVIGATION GENERAL MATERIAL AND SAFETY - Electric cabin dewatering pump inoperative - Navigation lights inoperative or displaying improper characteristics - Depth sounder inoperative - GPS inoperative - Radar inoperative - Magnetic compass affected as described below: Deviation table missing - Compass deviation greater than 5 degrees - Electronics: One VHF transceiver inoperative - Watertight integrity: Holes/ cracks in the hull above the waterline - Damage to the collar that removes the polyurethane coating or exposes interior foam - Personal survival vest missing or unserviceable (4 on-board) - One portable fire extinguisher missing or unserviceable TRAILER - Missing or flat, improper size, damaged, or worn tires - Trailer running lights inoperative or wrong characteristic - Brake actuator or back-up solenoid inoperative or no fluid - Wheel bearings or brakes have excessive noise or play - Structural cracks - Missing safety chains or brake emergency chain - Emergency brake latch fails to operate - Missing tie down straps (6 required/ NOT including winch strap) DISABLING CASUALTIES ENGINE PARAMETERS ENGINEERING SYSTEM COMPONENTS - Casualties which make the boat not serviceable - The operational commander may authorize, in writing, the movement of the boat (for short distances) under its own power only to facilitate haul-outs or corrective maintenance. Divided into 5 categories - Engine Lube Oil Pressure: Green engine oil pressure light extinguishes on ignition panel, engine RPM is automatically limited to 1800 RPM - Engine Cooling Water: Red overheating indicator lihjt illuminates on the ignition panel, or audible alarm sounds, engine RPM is automatically limited to 1800 RPM. If condition continues for another 20 seconds, the engine automatically shuts down - Engine fails to start - Uncontrollable overheating - Inoperative visual or audible alarms - Metallic/ non-metallic noise: metal-on-metal, fuel-knock, bearing, clicking - Excessive engine vibration - Any fuel (gasoline) system or engine component leaking or dripping fuel - Engine surging/ over speed (over 50RPM) - Engine over speed (over 6000RPM) - Loss of engine control - Continuous electrical breaker trip - Continuous failure of outboard engine fuses - Steering system inoperative - Engine mount hardware loose or missing - Loose/ missing propeller coupling nut - Loose/ missing engine control hardware - Loose/ missing steering actuator hardware ELECTRONICS/ - No electrical means of signaling distress (ie., no radio, EPIRB not installed or unserviceable, etc.) NAVIGATION - 12 volt system will not energize SAFETY - Truck and complete hitch system not rated to 10,000lbs minimum, rating must be marked by stencil/sticker/stamp - Electrical arcing and sparking - Odor of insulation overheating - No portable fire extinguishers (unserviceable) - No spare engine kill switch activation clip and lanyard available - Radar pod securing hardware loose/ missing

6 GENERAL MATERIAL - Hull breach below the waterline - Crack in transom plate - Disabling casualties shall be reported to the operational commander by the most expeditious means; followed by a boat status message as soon as possible, but no later than 12 hours after the casualty is discovered. The boat shall immediately be placed in Charlie status and repaired. If the casualty cannot be repaired within 48 hrs, a CASREP shall be sent within 24 hrs of the casualty.
