3 Why is the extraction of exhaust necessary? The inhalation of vehicle emissions massivly affect your health. It may cause irritation of eyes and airways, coughing, shortness of breath and heart and circulatory ailments. The contained toxins can enter the bloodstream and cause dizziness or nausea. Diesel exhaust fumes are carcinogenic and promote the development of allergies. Modern engines produce very fine, respirable particles. A technical ventilation is not sufficient for the safe continuation of the pollutants. The exhaust gases that emerge by running a cumbustion engine concentrate in the breathing zone of the employees, before they can be caught by the ventilating system The direct gathering with the help of an exhaust extraction system is the only effective way (localised extraction), to collect the exhaust gases directly at the exhaust pipe. All ecovent products fulfill the needs of the german TRGS 554. The required suction output for exhaust gas checks can be computed with the following term: V = V H * n * 0,0363 * s with: V H = cubic capacity[l], n = agitator speed[min 1 ], s = 1,2 (security) For exhaust gas checks you need at least 600 m³/h for cars and 1200m³/h for trucks. 8 Single Place and gas check systems The Single Place exhaust extraction system by ecovent is the most economically priced system, to extract exhaust gases. 10 Hose Reels Our hose reels offer ease of use with a very favorable priceperformance ratio. The solid base frame and the side plate are made of powdercoated, solid steel plate. The hose stop is integrated in the Reel; so that the hose is relieved and the durability is increased. 16 Hinged cantilever The hinged cantilever by ecovent provides clean air especially with the emission detection at commercial vehicles The Mounting can be effected at the wall, at steel beams or, with the help of special consoles, at the ceiling. If necessary the cantilever can pivoted to the wall so that the working space is available in full width. Especially if crane runways exist this is the perfect solution. The hinged cantilaver consist of a rotating console, stiffener and suction rail cantilever arm, but without suction unit.
