Engine stops operating when key is turned off. Transmission: Quickly engages as designed. Moves vehicle forward and reward as instructed. Lights: Headlights (high and low beams), park and fog lights operate as designed when instructed. Lights: Tail, brake, tag and back up lights operate as designed when instructed. Radio and Heater/AC: Radio operates (find a identifiable channel) as designed. Heater/AC fan operates on and off when instructed Horn and Interior Lights: Horns sound as designed when instructed to do so, Interior lights operated as designed when door is opened. 3 ENGINE COMPARTMENT Battery Carrier: Semi-gloss black with appropriate attaching parts. Hold down clamp mounted correctly, groove fits in carrier, centering tab present. Mounting bolt and nut phosphate & oil. Front mounted as Mustang. Reason for Deduction Complete and Battery: Autolite. Group 22 or 24 acceptable Div II. Battery Cables and Starter Cable: Routed in original position. Positive Cable: standard red FoMoCo cable with correct Ford stamped numbers and terminal cover. Rubber fender shield or deflector on positive post, after 6S252. Shield retained by staples - early/plastic push plugs - late. Starter and Ground Cable: Black FoMoCo with original mounting bracket. Fender shield or deflector on positive post except early 66. Terminal end is tin dipped. Cables printed as original. No paper sleeves. Starter Solenoid: black FoMoCo or AUTOLITE marked unit mounted properly, with fine tread posts and thin nuts with integrated star washers. Mounted on passenger side inner fender panel near the battery and before shock tower. Alternator: Mounted with proper hardware. Alternator: Natural cast aluminum finish. May have no Autolite stamp. With radio should have radio suppressor at voltage regulator. Fan, Pulley Nut and Lock Washer: Fan and pulley semi-gloss black. Nut and lock washer silver finish. Alternator Spacer: Early - black anodized Later - gold aluminum. Starter: Semi-gloss black (thin or no paint at engine end) with ink-stamp. Natural starter post. Air Cleaner and Filter: 14-inch open element air cleaner with chrome lid, zinc wing nut. 6S001 through 6S252, gold base. After 6S252, Ford dark blue base. zinc wing nut. filter, breather hose, breather and retaining wire clamps - style for correct year and model. 4 Engine Components to be Painted: ENGINE COMPARTMENT Engine Color: 6S001 through 6S252, black. After 6S252, Ford Corporate Blue. Same Color as Engine Block: Engine block, heads, and intake manifold bolts, oil dipstick tube. Crimped handle may be painted or natural. Thermostat housing (with attaching hardware), bypass hose and clamps, water pump assembly, timing cover. Heater Hose Elbow painted fully or with overspray. Semi-Gloss Black Components: Fan, fan pulley, crankshaft pulley, alternator bracket and adjuster arm, harmonic balancer. Through 6S252 engine motor mount brackets. After 6S252 engine motor mount black and natural. Engine Components to be Natural: Engine to frame mount brackets, bell housing, accelerator linkage, distributor hold-down bracket, fan spacer, oil pressure sender extension, and automatic transmission dipstick handle. Exhaust Manifolds: Proper design, painted black tri-y headers with small head bolts at heads and white gaskets. of above 2 categories Reason for Deduction Complete and Engine Components to be Aluminum: Intake Manifold: Through 6S252 small letter COBRA S1MS. After 6S252 S2MS COBRA intake. Gaskets ends natural cork, side white paper. Valve Covers: Early - open letter COBRA valve covers with polished/machined fins and COBRA. Late closed letter COBRA black wrinkle with brushed fins and spreaders between bolts and covers. All use cadmium standard grade 5 bolts with washers. Oil Pan: Aluminum, marked COBRA S1MS Through 6S252 - bolts use Phillips head screws and hex head bolts, both with star washers. After 6S252 aluminum COBRA - bolts with all hex head bolts with star washers. Valve Cover and Oil Pan Gaskets: Black coated cork Valve cover gaskets may be coated top and bottom surfaces only. Carburetor: Proper type for year and engine with correct filter (and adapter on Holleys). Through 6S CFM Holley. After 252 all four speeds - S2MS marked Holley with list All Paxton equipped and automatic cars - AUTOLITE marked C6ZF-F. No Hertz cars with Paxton s. SAAC-66 Survivor 2015 Page 4 of 19

5 ENGINE COMPARTMENT Distributor and Cap: Proper design and natural finish Non vacuum advance, FoMoCo marked, natural aluminum finish. for year and model with correct lead mounted properly. Cap: Black plastic with #1. Coil: FoMoCo or Autolite with yellow ceramic top. Mounted in correct location Mounting Bracket: semi-gloss black or phosphate and oil. Spark Plugs and Wires: Wires: FoMoCo Black wires marked SX (steel core non-resistor) on radio delete cars. Radio resistance or SX wire on radio equipped cars. Properly routed with correct attaching wire separators and in correct order. Spark Plugs: Autolite. #BF32 Fuel Lines and Attaching Parts: Rigid Lines: Original configuration and tin finish in original location with proper attaching parts. All Holley carburetor equipped use unique Shelby fuel line from pump to carburetor. Autolite equipped as Mustang. Flex Lines: Black with original factory markings. Holley equipped after 6S252 fuel filter mounted at carburetor and used special brass fuel filter adapter with Mustang fuel filter on Holley equipped cars. AUTOLITE equipped as Mustang. Clamps: Crimp style, properly crimped. Reason for Deduction Complete and 1) Fuel Pump: Carter Aluminum button top upper body, zinc dichromate lower steel body, original design (CARbureTER) and location. Mounted with proper hardware. Through 6S252 - filter at pump, White canister, red print FoMoCo -hex base canisters not allowed. After 6S252 no filter in lower half. Oil Filter: Double crimped body, painted engine block color, mounted in original location. Underside of Hood: 6S001 through 6S252 - semi-gloss black or body color. After 6S252, semigloss black. 1) Hood Hinges and Springs: Original style. Phosphate and oil finish. 6 ENGINE COMPARTMENT Export Brace, Monte Carlo Bar and Front Shock Brackets: Reason for Deduction Complete and Export Brace: One piece painted semi-gloss black with firewall reinforcement welded and sealed at cowl. Bolts at firewall are equally spaced, flathead standard no-vendor mark cadmium plated or standard Ford. Front Shock Upper Bracket: With welded-on washer reinforcement. Painted semi-gloss black. Monte Carlo Bar: Painted semi-gloss black. Mounted with phosphate and oil Ford bolts. Firewall and Inner Fender Panels: Painted semi-gloss black. Fender and Inner Fender Bolts: Original color and style. phosphate and oil finish. Through 6S252. With star washers. After - disc washers. phosphate and oil finish. Painted bolts not allowed. Inner fender bolts installed from engine side. Firewall Sound Deadener (Sealant): At proper locations on the firewall including all areas where components come through the firewall, such as wiring and heater motor. No sealant on Shelby added looms and wires or engine ground strap and mounting screw. Master Cylinder and Rigid Brake Lines: Disc brake only, painted semi-gloss black with Early - brass adapters top and bottom. Later cars - no adapters. Micro- Master Cylinder: Hertz cars. Unpainted, mounted as original with unpainted reinforcement plate Cap & Retaining Clips: Semi-gloss black finish. Rigid Brake Lines: Natural steel finish. Automatic or Clutch Linkage: style, finish and mounted properly. Automatic: Kickdown hardware and mounting as original. Clutch: rubber firewall and bellhousing boots. Z Bar: Natural steel, Mustang hi-po style Upper Rod and Spring: Natural steel and black spring after 6S252. Lower Rod and Spring: Cadmium plated rod and black spring Steering Column and Box: Steering column finish matches interior color. SAAC-66 Survivor 2015 Page 6 of 19

7 ENGINE COMPARTMENT Reason for Deduction Complete and Windshield Washer Assembly, Windshield Reservoir Assembly, Mounting Brackets, Hoses and Pump: Original type and finish mounted in original location. Black caulking at washer nozzles. Windshield Washer Assembly, Windshield Reservoir Assembly, Mounting Brackets, Hoses and Pump: Original type and finish mounted in original location. May have black at washer nozzles. Washer Bag: Early- black with FoMoCo and screw lid. Late- black with gold print Ford. Both flip lid. Washer Pump: Single speed Voltage Regulator: All marked C5AF attached with screws. 6S001 through 6S252, marked FoMoCo (black). After 6S252, FoMoCo (black) or Autolite (blue or black). Decals: Service Specification. Air Cleaner: Cubic Inch (may have AUTOLITE spark plug decal) Voltage Regulator: paper tag for radio suppressor. Engine ID: to be positioned long ways along lower intake of water pump through 6S252. Vertical on coil after 6S252. Others: wiring labels, Service Specifications, Battery Test (filled out) & Radiator/antifreeze paper tag.. Very late (post mid May) cars will have master cylinder fluid decal. of above 2 categories 1) Wiring: Proper gauge and color code, mounted in original location with proper attaching clips. Black plastic wrapping as original. 2) Through 6S GT style harness. After 6S non - GT style harness. Horns: Semi-gloss black with unpainted electrical spade. Original design mounted in original location with proper mounting bracket. Hood Release, Pins and Latch: (if present) Original style. Phosphate and oil finish. 6S001 through 6S252, no hood latch. 66 after 6S252, as Mustang. Click pins with no lanyard wire. SAAC-66 Survivor 2015 Page 7 of 19

8 ENGINE COMPARTMENT Radiator: Ford type. Painted gloss black with proper core thickness and black rubber overflow tube. Radiator Cap: 6S001 through 6S252, SMCO or AC. After 6S252, SMCO or Autolite. All are zinc or chrome. Hoses: FoMoCo. Molded rubber hose of original size and configuration, matching clamp style. Clamps: 6S001 to approx January builds used pedestal clamps. January - on used wire style with wire staples. After wire staples only. Fan Shroud: Mounted correctly with proper hardware. Heater Hoses and Clamps: Hoses: Black ribbed style with white (most), yellow or red stripe to pump side (one or both hoses. Hose Clamps: Pedestal type only. Galvanized. Belts: Ink-stamped. Includes door ends and bottom. Painted as exterior. Fender bolt (phosphate/oil) and fender pad (natural unpainted rubber) should be present. Door Weather-strip, Scuff Plates and Labels: Original style and finish in original location with yellow glue. 6S001 through 6S252 sill plate labels, Shelby American Inc. Los Angeles California logo (65 may have standard Ford logo). After 6S252 scuff plate labels, Shelby American Inc logo. Door Hardware: Includes latching mechanisms and hinges. Original style mounted in original location. Door latch striker and latch are early may have galvanized body - after, zinc dichromate finish. Interior Light Switch: White plastic with black plungers. Door Hinge Bolts: body color (early use 65 style 3/8 bolt with star washer). Seats: Mustang seat and style for year. All use black standard interior. Exceptions with documentation. 6S001 through 6S252 have 65 style interiors. Seat Belts: 3-inch competition style with eye-bolt style anchors. Marked RAY BROWN (early) AMERICAN SAFETY or IMPACT with eye-bolt style anchors. Carpet and Kick Panels: Original molded type carpet. color for interior. Phosphated screws in proper locations. No dimmer switch grommet. Carpet positioned on top of firewall pad. Kick Panels: style and mounting hardware Underdash Area, Pedal Assembly, Firewall Cover and Shifter: Original style and finish. Mounted in original location. Under dash wiring as original, proper for the year. Pedals: Brake marked DISC BRAKE. Brake/Clutch pedal arms are half dipped black, accelerator pedal arm, phosphate/oil. No stainless trim on pads. Accelerator Arm: Phosphate and oil. Shifter: As factory Mustang Hand Choke: Marked with white C, Mounted correctly under drivers side of dash. Hertz cars have brake warning decal on dash except very early cars. Gauge Bezel: Through 6S252 with 65 GT style After 6S252 with 66 standard style. Steering Wheel: Mustang style deluxe plastic wood grain wheel standard with Shelby center cap. Radio: Ford. for year. Dial face begins with a 5 Radio names may be other than FORD and may vary. Radio Delete Panel: color, style and year. Through 6S252 with 65 style Glove Box and Contents: Must have glove box light with lens stapled in place. Tire Pressure Decals: In glove box on back left corner or on inside of glove box door. Dash Covering: Original grain and style. Black in color. of above 5 categories. Tachometer: Original type and style mounted in correct location with proper hardware. 9,000 rpm Tachometer mounted on top of dash with either chrome back cup for early cars or black wrinkle back cup with later cars. Tach face - COBRA emblem on top approximately the first 500 cars and after - emblem on the bottom. Dash Mounted Horn Switch: Black knob, spring loaded bottom off position on early cars. Windshield Trim, Inside Mirror, Top Latches and Visor Brackets: Original style and finish. Mounted in original location. No day-night mirrors. Matching upper quarter panel trim and chrome air vent trim Fold down seat with matching carpet, chrome trim and rear trap door. Proper style and low luster black. Matching upper quarter panel trim and plastic quarter window trim attached with black rivet heads. Through 6S252 may have plastic rear package tray with ribs. After 6S252 fold down seat with matching carpet, chrome trim and rear trap door were standard. Quarter panel carpet without serge edges. Through 6S inch steel wheel painted silver or optional Cragar wheel After 6S inch painted magnum, 15 inch Cragar or 14 inch chrome magnum (for all Hertz cars and some regular GT350). Jack Assembly and Lug Wrench: Original style and painted semi-gloss black with correct decal. lug wrench, for jack and style of wheel. Mounted in original location. If equipped with Cragar or 10-spoke wheels must have additional matching lug wrench. Painted Surfaces in Trunk: Must match exterior color. Rear fold down door and hinges (cars without package tray) painted to match interior color. Exposed package tray surface unpainted fiberglass. Sound Deadener: Must be present on trunk side of quarter panels (covered with exterior color) Trunk Weather-strip and Jacking Instructions: Original style. Yellow glue for weather-strip. Instructions: Original style mounted on underside of trunk lid. Through 6S252 should include Detroit Locker sticker. Trunk Wiring: style and covering. 13 TRUNK Taillight Body, Gas Filler Neck, Trunk Latch and Flex Hose: Original design and finish. Clamps: wire style, indexed correctly. Taillight Body: Must have proper push on type connections and proper tail light nut spacers. Luggage guard plastic strip glued to driver side wheel well. 5 protective light gray (opaque on cars before 6S253) trim screw covers at top edge of trunk. Hood: May be all fiberglass, fiberglass with steel frame or all steel. Trunk Lid: Early may use 65 style, all others 66 style. Side Scoops: Body area behind side scoops semi-gloss black. Dark gray/black strip caulk sealant should be visible around side scoops Stripes: Original type, color and material placed in proper locations. Side Stripes: Decal. Lemans Stripes: Factory on some. Usually dealer installed option. Passenger wiper post painted. of stripes. Grille and Grille Opening Trim: design and hardware for year. Finished properly with correct grille emblem mounted properly. Grill Trim: Anodized and painted correctly Headlamps and Doors: Matching, legal clear bulbs with embossed or script FoMoCo. Doors, proper style and finish for year. Parking, Tail, Back-Up, Running, Tag Lights: Original design for year. FoMoCo script on all lenses. Parking and Backup: Black boots Back-up light rubber gasket black. Tag Light: Must have black braided cover. of above 2 categories Bumpers, Guards, Bolts and Brackets: Proper style and chrome finish for year, mounted properly. Rubber insulators between rear bumper mounts and upper bumper guards to body. Bumper guards with rubber upper bumper. 16 Front Suspension and Steering: UNDERCARRIAGE Natural Parts: Tie rods, tie rod adjustment sleeves, idler arm, coil springs (may be semi-gloss black), drag link, pitman arm, steering box, strut rods, strut washers, sway bar end links and mounting brackets, spindles, spring seats. No grease fittings on tie rod ends. Through approx 6S0800 had front suspension lowered 1 inch. After No lowering Front Semi-Gloss Black Parts: 1 sway bar. Upper Control Arms: dipped black with natural ball joint ends 4-rivet design. Grease fitting plugs on ball joints & upper A arm inner mount. Lower Control Arms: jacking tabs and be dipped black with natural ball-joint ends. Front Brakes Disc: Calipers: natural finish with proper mounting hardware. Cars after 6S252 equipped with calipers with outer half of body plated with nickel, some before. Splash and Dust Shields: semi-gloss black finish. Caliper Mounts: cast iron finish. Front Wheel Wells: Front Fender: Topside may have sound deadener, show signs of primer and body color overspray or combination of all. Splash Guards: Black with some sound deadener. Inner Fenders: Wheel-side, engine compartment black with deadener overspray. Undercarriage: Undercarriage painted red oxide or black primer depending on Ford production date. Majority were red oxide. Body color overspray fading to tunnel and pinch weld paint overspray. Over-Ride Installation: Mustang suspension bumpers cut at frame rail. New rear end bumper mount welded to inside edge of the rear frame rail. Area sprayed with semi-gloss black. Lower Pinch Welds: Blacked out from front wheel well to rear valance. Workmanship, condition and cleanliness of underside of floor pans. Rigid Fuel and Brake Lines: Natural steel finish. Routed in original location. Flexible Fuel and Brake Lines: Black rubber. 17 Bell Housing, Transmission and Linkage: UNDERCARRIAGE Bellhousing: Natural aluminum finish. May have block color overspray is on 4 speed cars. Bellhousing Plate: may engine color overspray (none or thin at starter location) Manual Transmission: 6S001-mid 66 use natural aluminum Borg-Warner T-10. Mid 66-up use cast iron T-10. May use cast iron tailshaft. Manual Shifter Body: zinc, cadmium or galvanized. Lower shift boot on manual transmission linkage after Feb 16. Linkage: Phosphate and oil finish. Automatic: available after 6S252 (must have C servo). Automatic Inspection Plates: Black. Automatic Transmission Filler Tube & Dipstick: Filler tube - semi-gloss black. Dipstick - natural. Speedometer Cable: Routed in correct fashion, correct color and application for year. Properly sealed at firewall. Transmission Support and Mount: style painted semi-gloss black. Driveshaft and U-Joints: Mounted properly. Original type. No grease fittings. Natural steel and cast finish. Through 6S252 had driveshaft loop. Third Member: Must be 9-inch unit red oxide primer with correct natural machined surfaces, with no fill plug. Snubber, Yoke and Mount: Proper style and design for year. Both natural. Attaching Hardware: natural or silver locking nuts with copper washers. Identification tag present. Rear End Housing: Must be 65 style 9-inch unit mounted with correct hardware. 18 Rear Suspension and Hardware: UNDERCARRIAGE Natural Parts: Leaf springs, leaf spring clamps, spring shackles, shock mount plates, leaf spring U-bolts. Traction Bars: Over-ride traction bars painted semi-gloss black. Rubber traction bar shield attached to seal floor hole. Special rear end bumper attached to mounting bracket on rear frame rail. Rear Axle Limiting Hardware: (If so equipped) Properly mounted with correct hardware. Vehicles with overrides only. Natural 1/8 steel cable. Under-Ride Traction Bars: Traction bars painted semi-gloss black, mounts painted bronze. Rear Brakes: Drums, cast iron finish with black brush painted face on cars without steel wheels. Brake backing plates are FoMoCo and semi-gloss black finish. Wheel Cylinders: cast iron finish with small zinc dichromate bleeders Silver or black plated mounting bolts. Brake Adjustment Hole: (if punched out) is to have plain black rubber plug, Brake Shoe Retainers: zinc dichromate finish. Parking Brake Cables and Hardware: Natural steel finish with proper rubber boots. Shock Absorbers: Front & rear. 6S001 through 6S252 has orange Koni shocks with eagle-style decal. Most with Koni shocks had special large head shock bolts in front. After 6S952 used special blue FoMoCo or black Autolite adjustable shocks. (Both originally made by Gabriel.) Rear Wheel Wells: Body color over sound deadener. May have some black overspray.
