2 1. To start the installation, remove the wheels to access the factory suspension setup. 2. First, the top bolts of the coil pack were loosened and removed.

3 3. Next, loosen the A-arm bolt that is connected to the spindle but do not completely remove for the moment. 4. Loosen and remove the lower bolt of the spindle that is connected to the tie rod.

4 5. & 6. Since the spindle will be dropped in order to remove the coil and shock pack, the sensor line connections are next to be unbolted to free up some slack when the spindle is dropped.

5 7. Pushing the tie rod up from the spindle and moved front toward, the two lower shock nuts are next to be removed. 8. The sway bar nut can then loosened and removed, which will allow the lower control arm to pivot downward.

6 9. & 10. With all the other connections loosened and ready to lower, a sledgehammer is best to knock the spindle down from the upper arm. A couple swings or two should do the trick. With the bolt still in place, it can be slowly removed while controlling the speed of the dropping spindle. 11. A floor jack can be placed underneath the lower control arm before attempting to remove the coil pack. This will allow for it to fall from the upper perch at a slow and safe pace.

7 12. Next, the coil pack can be placed onto a compressor to hold it steady while the upper shock nut is unscrewed from the top. Once removed, the shock can be pulled down. 13. When installed, Crown s lowering spring (right) will give the front of the F-150 a 2- inch drop.

8 14. The factory front shocks are compatible with the 2-inch drop kit, so they can be reused and fed through Crown s coil and bolted up for installation. 15. The updated coil packs are now ready to reinstall and help bring your F-150 s front end closer to the floor.

9 16. & 17. The spindle and all connections can now be bolted back together to finish up the installation of the front 2-inch drop coil kit. 18. With the front end completed, the rear wheels and tires can be removed. The 4-inch rear drop kit includes a flip kit that will relocate the leaf spring packs underneath the axle. Along with the flip kit, a single leaf will be added to the stock 3-leaf pack to help achieve the desired altitude adjustment.

10 19. & 20. With most rear lowering projects, the fuel tank always seems to be in the way. Since the leaf springs need to be removed, the fuel tank could be dropped, but another solution is bringing the bolt out enough to be cut off at the head (Note bolt is NOT included). Clamp the opposite end for stability while cutting. 21. Before any the leaf springs are completely removed from either side, strap the axle to the frame to keep everything secure while working on the area.

11 22. Removing the leaf spring from the passenger side is not a straight forward task either. In order to easier remove the bolt, the muffler can be dropped to create enough room to work. Unbolt the bracket just forward of the leaf spring to move it down. 23. Moving rearward, the upper exhaust bracket can now be loosened from the frame.

12 24. The last point of the exhaust system that needs to be unbolted is at the rear, just above the tail pipe. 25. With the muffler a few inches lower, the front leaf spring bolt can be easily unbolted and tapped out.

13 26. The rear end of the leaf spring, on the other hand, is a bit easier to access but having the tail pipe lowered does help. 27. Next, the U-bolts holding the leaf spring to the top of the axle can now be undone and removed.

14 28. & 29. The upper and lower shock mount bolts can be undone and taken out, leaving the leaf spring pack ready to be removed. 30. & 31. With the leaf spring finally on the floor, the leaf spring pack can now be unbolted. 32. & 33. After unbolting the lower leaf from the pack, hang the rest of the pack from the front bracket. The next few steps will be easier with the leaf pack suspended. The front and rear tabs can be pried open to allow installation of the additional leaf.

15 34., 35. & 36. The spring pack is reassembled one leaf at a time, with the new leaf second from the longest down. A 4-leaf pack will be the final result. This can be done several ways, we use a long bolt (NOT INCLUDED) to collapse the leaf far enough to install the supplied bolts compacting the leafs down tight. 37. The leaf spring pack can now be tightly bolted together and will be ready to install on both ends.

16 38. When installing the leaf spring packs, they are now be mounted underneath the axle with the use of the flip kit and the included U-bolts and lower brackets. 39. & 40. The factory rear bump stops are to be removed, and are replaced by new, lowerprofile bump stops included in the kit.

17 41. Crown s rear drop kit requires the use of shorter aftermarket shocks (top), which install the same as the factory units. Double-check and inspect every nut for tightness and secure fitment. With everything back in place, your Ford F-150 now has a sportier look and better sense of control. A fresh alignment is highly suggested to ensure optimum ride quality and even tire wear.
