2 Module Installation 1. Remove all debris from the inside of the channel and clean inside of channel with denatured alcohol. Allow alcohol to dry before proceeding. 2. Place modules in sign according to layout. Cut product accordingly. *Product may be cut in between modules 3. To adhere the product to letter back, remove liner from tape and firmly press LED modules in place. Repeat process for the rest of layout. or 4. Screws, rivets or silicone may also be used to attach LED modules to letter back if mechanical fasteners are required or desired. *Use #6(M3) or #(M4) hexagonal or pan head metal screws or 1/ inch (3.2mm) rivets. 5. Drill an access hole near the beginning of the LED module and fit with an insulating for feeding supply wire to the product. *Access hole should be approximately ¼ inch (6.4mm) in diameter, minimum.

3 6. Remove debris from inside of channel and clean inside of channel. LED Module Wiring Instructions 1. Use an appropriate wire connectors to cover the ends of exposed wires not being used as a connection point. 2. To connect (splice) wires, use an in-line (IDC) connector or a twiston wire connector. Wires: Black (-) White/Color (+) SignRayz TM Series Input Voltage: VDC 1AWG leads Positive + (white/color) Negative - (black) General LED 60W Power Supply PS-60W V DC output: 1AWG leads Positive + (red) Negative - (black) 3. Connect the power supply to the product via the access hole in the letter back. *Use the proper gauge wire for connecting power supply to product. *Must use approved power supply: General LED PS-60W V. *All electrical connections should be made within the channel letter. *Do not overload the power supply. *The grounding and bonding of the LED Driver must be done in accordance with ordnance National Electric Code (NEC) Article 600. *Follow all National Electric Codes (NEC) and local codes.

AC Input wires: Black=Line, White=Neutral, Green=Ground DC Output wires: Black=Negative (-), Red=Positive (+) *Have a licensed electrician make connections to primary (AC) input. *Per NEC 200 Articles through , secondary class 2 cables do not require conduit when installing. *Seal all wall penetrations with silicone to avoid intrusion of water. 5 Transformer Box Installation (for PS-60W V) 1. Determine desired location for the box. 2. Attach the box to the substrate. Screw through the middle and lower channels. (When used in a wet location, attach box to substrate using screws with rubber gasketed heads.) * The Transformer box is to be attached in all applications with the 13/16 holes always facing down. 3. Using the maximum ½ long self-tapping screw, attach the transformer* to the raised platform. * See transformer manufacturer s specification for clearances. 4. The bottom of the box has 3 standard 13/16 diameter holes and 2 pilot holes for additional 13/16 holes. 5. Use the middle back 13/16 hole. Attach your metal conduit nipple from the safety disconnect switch box. It is important that the primary (0 VAC) wires be separated from the secondary (DC) circuit wires as much as possible. Make all the 0 VAC splices in the safety disconnect box. No excess 0 VAC wiring should be in the transformer box. * Keep all secondary wiring as far away from the primary wiring as possible. ** Remember that this location is a dry/damp area. Use the appropriate conduit and strain relief products. 6. Use the included # x ½ machine screw as the grounding lug. This lug can be attached to the box either with the threads and two Green nuts facing the inside of the box or so they face outside the box. The hole in the bottom of the box between the two 13/16 holes is for the attachment of the grounding lug. Attach the grounding wires from the LED letters to the box (if grounding of the letters is required). Place the faceplate on the box, push up under the lip and secure with self-drilling screws to the box.

6 All LED modules are OFF or some of the LED modules are not illuminated No power to input of power supply Check AC input to power supply for proper connection, input voltage and/or check circuit breaker. Wrong voltage power supply Ensure proper power supply is used for input voltage at site. Bad/Loose connections Check wire connection(s) at the primary and secondary sides of the power supply for improper termination(s) or short circuits. Properly terminate or replace the wire connection(s) if needed. LED modules connected in reverse polarity Check that the white or colored wire (+) of the LED modules are connected to the positive red wire (+) of the power supply and the black wire (-) of the LED strip is connected to the negative black wire (-) of the power supply. Hot spots and/or shadows Power supply or power supplywires may be blocking light. Check that the power supply is not obscuring the modules. Adjust the wires or wire connectors to ensure they do not obscure any of the LEDs. Entire section does not light or lights intermittently Bad/Loose/Improper connections Check the wire connection on the secondary side of the power supply. A bad connection or a reversed polarity connection will cause the modules to not light. Power supplies spaced too close together Ensure proper spacing demands of General LED class 2 power supply. *Only 2 power supplies approved for installation in a standard neon transformer box. One module does not light, but all others in the sign light LED module may be defective or damaged SignRayz are wired in parallel so that if one module fails, it will not cause the entire sign or leg to fail. If one module does not light, it may be replaced by splicing in a new one.

7 LEDs flicker or appear dim Power supply may not be loaded properly with LED modules. Power supply may be damaged or defective. Power supply may be under loaded or overloaded with LED modules. Adjust loads on power supply so each load is appropriate for the power supply. Refer to the load chart for proper loading of the power supply. Possible malfunction of the power supply. These products are intended to be connected to a max. 20 A branch circuit. These products are intended for use in dry and damp location. The maximum leakage current measured from the metal enclosure is 0.76 ma. This needs to be considered if the end product is cord and plug connected. SignRayz TM Series SignRayz are only suitable for connection to a circuit from a class 2 power source. SignRayz have not been evaluated for use when connected to a power source that does not comply with Class 2 voltage and energy limited supplies. SignRayz are suitable for wet, damp or dry locations. SignRayz are not required to be enclosed or protected from weather. SignRayz is a volt system with a 5amp max load when connected to a UL Recognized (UYMR2) Class 2 supply.
