4 Product information Product information Fig. Mounting bracket with valve A mounting bracket can be installed on the side of the device to attach additional accessories. 5 Installation Installation To mount accessories, the mounting bracket is attached to the side panel of the device (not applicable for mounting bracket A9853-). Attaching a mounting bracket to the side panel Tool: Allen wrench, size.5 mm Note: If the screws cannot be turned, align the bore holes of the side panel with the holes of the housing. Note: When mounting a VICI valve drive for the AZURA Valve 4., the mounting bracket must be mounted reversely. The rear side of the mounting bracket is up front and the bending edge is located on the left side.. Remove the screws on the rear side of the device.. Align the side panel and re-tighten the screws. 3. Align the mounting bracket with the bore holes in the side panel. Fig. Bore holes 4. Tighten the screws. 6 Manual KNAUER injection valve Installation 3 Prerequisite The mounting bracket is attached to the side panel. Tool: Allen wrench, size 3 mm. 7 4 Installation Manual AZURA Valve V 4. Prerequisite Tools: The mounting bracket is attached to the side panel. Allen wrench, size.5 mm Allen wrench, size 3 mm. Remove the lid from the lever.. Unscrew the screw of the lever with the screwdriver,5 mm (see Fig. 6). 3. Pull off the lever from the adapter plate. 4. Unscrew the screws of the adapter plate with the screwdriver 3 mm. 5. 8 Installation 5 7. Hold valve head frontally onto the mounting bracket so that the mark 5points up and the groove 6points to the left (see Fig. 3). 5 6 Fig. 7 Rear view valve 8. Mount the feather key 7pointing to the AZURA L System onto the groove 6 (see Fig. 3). 7 8 Fig. 8 Mounting valve 9. Mount the adapter plate 8with the cable pointing down onto the feather key 7and tighten it with the screwdriver 3 mm. 0. Tighten the lever with the screwdriver,5 mm and mount the lid onto the lever. Note: In open position, the 6 Port valve is connected: Port with Port 6, Port with Port 3 and Port 4 with Port 5.

9 6 Installation VICI injection valve Tool: Allen wrench, size.5 mm Allen screwdriver, size 9/64 Allen screwdriver, size 3/3. Position the adapter plate on the rear side of the mounting bracket.. Tighten the 4 screws on the front side with the screwdriver.5 mm. Fig. 9 Mounting bracket with mounted adapter plate. 3. Bring the valve in the load position using the lever. Dismount the valve: - Using the screwdriver 3/3, screw out the lever. - Using the screwdriver 9/64, screw on the stator. The screws are located at the rear side of the valve. 4. Position the front part of the valve onto the the front side of the mounting bracket. Beware of the position of the port: Fig. 0 Position the front part of the valve on the the front side of the mounting bracket.

10 Installation 7 5. Turn the mounting bracket so that the rear side is visible and the bending edge 3is situated on the left. 6. Position the rear part of the valve onto the the rear side of the mounting bracket. The screws must be situated horizontal to the mounting bracket. The cable is on the lower left. 7. Insert the screws 4 on the rear side and re-assemble the stator. 8. Tighten the screws with Allen screwdriver size 9/ Using the screwdriver 3/3, screw on the lever. The magnet 5 must face the valve Fig. Position the rear part of the valve on the the rear side of the mounting bracket. Next steps: Connect the capillary and put the device into operation.

11 8 Installation VICI valve drive for AZURA Valve V 4. Prerequisite The mounting bracket is attached to the side panel. The valve head has been disassembled from the valve drive. The valve drive is adjusted to the valve and is situated on position. Tool: Allen screwdriver, size 9/64 Allen wrench, size 3 mm Note: The mounting bracket must be mounted upside down. The rear side of the mounting bracket is up front and the bending edge is on the left side.. Position the valve drive on the rear side of the mounting bracket.. Tighten the 4 screws on the front side of the mounting bracket with the screwdriver 9/64. Fig. Front view VICI valve drive on the mounting bracket

12 Installation 9 3. Adjust the mounting ring 3upwards with the fixation screw and attach onto the valve drive (see Fig. 3). 4. Screw in the screws 4of the mounting ring 3with the screwdriver 9/ Fig. 3 Front view mounting ring on valve drive 5. Attach the coupling onto the valve head. 6. Attach the valve head with the coupling into the mounting ring 3and snap in. The mark points upward. 7. Tighten the fixation screw of the mounting ring with the screwdriver 3 mm.

13 0 Installation VICI valve Prerequisite The mounting bracket is attached to the side panel. Tool: Allen screwdriver, size 9/64. Screw out the foot of the valve drive with the screwdriver 9/64. Put aside the foot and re-use the screws in step 3.. From the rear side, slide the valve drive through the opening of the mounting bracket to the front. Note: Therefore, the screw of the stator of the valve must be lead through one of the bulges of the mounting bracket. Fig. 4 VICI valve drive on the mounting bracket rear view 3. 14 Installation Next steps: Store the foot in a dry place. Connect the capillary and put the device into operation. Flow cell Prerequisite The mounting bracket is attached to the side panel.. Position the adapter plate on the rear side of the mounting bracket.. Position the flow cell on the front side of the mounting bracket. 3. 15 Installation Axially compressible column (ID 0 mm) Prerequisite The mounting bracket is attached to the side panel. Tool: Allen wrench, size 4 mm. Place the column into the holder.. Align the holder with the bore holes in the mounting bracket. 3. Tighten the screws and washers. 16 Pulsation damper Prerequisite: Tool: Installation 3 The mounting bracket is attached to the left side panel of the pump. Allen wrench, size 4 mm. Place the provided strip with adhesive side into the holder.. Place the pulsation damper into the holder. 3. Align the holder with the bore holes in the mounting bracket. 18 Hypershear mixing chamber Installation 5 Prerequisite: The mounting bracket is attached to the side panel. Tool: Allen wrench, size.5 mm. Mount the holder to the mounting bracket with two screws.
