Remove the six plastic retainers securing the large panel directly below the rear shelf speakers and remove the panel from the vehicle. Fig Remove the plastic retainer securing the right side of the trunk liner to the floor to allow for wire routing. Fig. 2 Fig. 1 Fig For vehicles without fold down rear seats remove the rear lower seat cushion by pulling up on the front edge. Remove the two nuts on each side securing the seat back cushion. 4. Release the spring clip on the back of the seat cushion. Insert a putty knife behind the seat cushion and push down firmly while pulling forward on the cushion. 77KICK20 3/23/07 Page 1 of 5

If the car is equipped with the eight speaker Boston Acoustics system, disconnect the white male speaker connector from the subwoofer in the center of the rear shelf.

2 There are several different options for connection the signal input wires in the wire harness. Please find the option for your vehicle below and follow the instructions for connecting the signal input wires Eight Speaker Boston Acoustics 5. If the car is equipped with the eight speaker Boston Acoustics system, disconnect the white male speaker connector from the subwoofer in the center of the rear shelf. Connect the white male connecter to the white female connector of the subwoofer wire harness. Fig. 3 If there is not a subwoofer then you have the seven speaker system; see step 5. Fig. 3 Seven Speaker Boston Acoustics and Base Audio 6. If the car is equipped with the seven speaker Boston Acoustics system or a base audio system, disconnect the right rear speaker connector. Plug the white male speaker connector you just disconnected into the white female connector of the wire harness. Plug the white male connector on the harness back into the speaker. If the vehicle is equipped with the Kicker factory option or if you have ever installed Mopar part 77KICK18 (Kicker Eight Channel Amp Kit) you need to cut one of the two white connectors off of the wire harness; it doesn t matter which one you cut off. 8. Strip the insulation off of the wires about ¼ of an inch from the end and crimp one of the supplied male disconnect terminals on each wire. Fig Next, identify the 200 watt (Charger) or 100 watt (300C) amplifier located in the rear package shelf next to the right 6X9 speaker. 10. Find the Green (positive) and Green/Black (negative) wire on the amplifier side of the connector and add one of the supplied T-Taps to each wire. Fig. 6 and Fig Connect the green wire of the harness to the green wire of the amplifier and connect the brown wire of the harness to the green/black wire of the amplifier. After connecting the input wires according to the instructions for your particular vehicle continue with the routing harness routing by routing the power and ground portion of the wire harness down the right side of the rear seat pass through and toward the battery along side the factory wiring using the supplied wire ties where needed. Fig Secure the harness with the factory retaining bracket. Fig. 10 Fig. 9 Fig Connect the ground wire to the body of the car at the factory ground point between the fuse box and the battery. Fig Connect the power wire to the fuse box main lug. 17. Set the subwoofer enclosure in place in the trunk. Fig. 13 18.

Install one of the supplied brackets over each of the two studs followed by the supplied washers

Secure the bracket to the back of the subwoofer cabinet using the supplied screws. Fig. 15 21.

Connect the subwoofer wiring harness to the subwoofer enclosure and secure the harness by

Install one of the supplied brackets over each of the two studs followed by the supplied washers and reinstall the factory nut and the supplied nut but leave loose. Fig. 14 Fig. 13 Fig Secure the bracket to the back of the subwoofer cabinet using the supplied screws. Fig Tighten the two nuts securing the brackets to 42ft/lbs. 22. Connect the subwoofer wiring harness to the subwoofer enclosure and secure the harness by pressing the plastic retainer into the holes in the bracket.
