Target group Working on the system Isolate the system from the power supply and check that it is no longer 'live', e.g. by removing a separate fuse or by means of a mains isolator. Safeguard the system against unauthorised reconnection. When using gas as fuel, also close the main gas shut-off valve and safeguard against unauthorised reopening. These instructions are exclusively designed for qualified personnel. Work on gas appliances must only be carried out by a qualified gas fitter. Work on electrical equipment must only be carried out by a qualified electrician. 4 Installation location Installation in the main living room on an internal wall opposite radiators pprox. 1.5 m from the floor Not near windows and doors Not on shelves or in recesses Not near heat sources (radiators, direct sunlight, fireplace, TV set etc.) Do not install further controllers in this main living room. Open any thermostatic radiator valves fully. 4

Terminals 9 and 10: The Vitotrol 100 switches the burner. Remove the jumper when making this connection Recommended connecting cable 2-core cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² Note There is no frost protection when the burner is switched OFF. 11

12 Electrical connection at the pump/mixer onnecting the heating circuit pump The Vitotrol 100 controls the room temperature by starting and stopping the heating circuit pump. Take care not to interchange wires "L1" and "N". 13 Electrical connection at the pump/mixer (cont.) onnecting the mixer motor The Vitotrol 100 controls the room temperature by opening and closing the mixer.
