Please read the installation instruction carefully and keep them for looking up before installing the Downlight. 2 1. General safety information This product is to be used with a 230V/50Hz AC power supply. The mounting frames are suitable for use with matching LED or conventional halogen bulbs. The installation of this lamp may be done only by a qualified person according the valid regulations for electrical installation. This lamp is only suited for indoor-use and not for outdoor-use. The mounting frame type ES_T10_1044_SILVER has a protection rating of IP40. So you are able to use the product in humidors. This product is marked with the F symbol and thus can be used on normally flammable surfaces. The MM symbol denotes that the frames can be mounted on surfaces of different flammability, e.g. for mounting on furniture. As an electrical conductor, the product is not suitable for use in metal constructions on buildings or furniture. Before installation the downlight please make sure that the product is protected from heavy dirt, dampness and warming. Any other use than the description may result in damage to the product. So the dangers are such as electric shock, short circuit, fire etc. Please read the safety instructions necessarily. Please double check before installation or changing of bulbs that the power supply is shut down. Please note that only light bulbs matching the information in the section "Technical Data" must be used with this product. Please only use "self-shielded" halogen light bulbs or LED bulbs with this product. "Cool beam" or cold light lamps are not suitable for use with this product due to risk of overheating. The maximum wattage of 50W per light bulb must not be exceeded. Do not cover the mounting frame with heat insulating materials. This product must never be used in rooms where flammable gases, vapors or dusts. Please set up the light beam of the light never directly at people or animals to prevent fire damage or eyes damage and avoid looking directly into the light source. Please make sure that no flammable objects/material are kept near the lamp. The manufacture does not accept any responsibility for injuries or damage resulting from improper use of the lamp. Do not hang items for decoration on this product. In order that the warranty claim does not expire please use only the supplied items. Repairs may only be done by an expert and only by using original spare parts! Please ensure that the power circuit is disconnect before mounting the downlight. In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the professional trade association for electrical equipment and facilities must be adhered to. Caution: In case of damages or contact with water, turn off the lamp immediately without tension and make sure that a restart is no longer possible! 2. Installation the mounting frame Before mounting the downlight please check this for external damage. In case of visible external damage, we immediately disadvise the start-up of this product. Please remove all packaging material of the ceiling lamp before the first start-up. Before installation the mounting frame please read the safety instructions and technical information. Installation must only be performed by a certified trained electrician. Interrupt the current circuit before installing the mounting frame! 2

3 Attention! To interrupt the current circuit it is not enough just to switch off the light! Please remove the associated mains fuse or deactivate the switch fuse! Make sure that the current circuit will not closed during the installation! Before you begin the installation please check also whether the current circuit feeding line power, at which the GU10-socket will connect, actually is disconnection from voltage. For fitting the downlight please choose a vibration-free, dry and non-conductive subsurface. Please take care when installing the downlight, that the minimum distance to the illuminated Before installation, please plan the mounting position for the frames and verify that a 230V/50Hz connection is available. Sufficient air circulation is required in the mounting space. Once you start installation, determine the positioning of the mounting frame. Note that there are restrictions on the length of the wiring between connection points. You can find the data on minimum distances between lights and between any light and wa between the lights and the surface opposite should be at least 50 cm. Connect the fitting to the power supply and position the mounting frame as intended for use. Please ensure that the entire electrical circuit is powered down and there is no current on the wiring during installation. Thread the fitting through the mounting frame and then attach it to the mounting hole by squeezing the springs. Push the mounting frame into the hole until it locks into place. Now you can install a matching light bulb as described in the section "Replacing Light Bulbs". Installation is now completed and the lights are ready for use. You can now reconnect the power supply. 3. Safety Guidelines while replacing light bulbs Caution: Disconnect the power supply before replacing light bulbs. Please note that light bulbs become very hot during operation. To avoid injury and burns, switch off the lights and leave them to cool down for at least 10 minutes before replacing any bulbs. 3.1 Replacing light bulbs at the mounting frame Type ES_T4_1027_SILVER/ ES_T5_1027_WHITE/ ES_T6_1017_SILVER/ ES_T7_1017_WHITE/ ES_T8_1047_SILVER 1. To remove the light bulb from the mounting frame, squeeze the two inner ends of the springs together. 2. Slightly push the bulb to be replaced into the fitting a counterclockwise. This will remove the light bulb from the fitting. 3. You can now replace the old light bulb with a new one of the same type matching the data in the "Technical Specification" section. 4. Insert the light bulb into the fitting by pushing it in and rotating it by about 45 degrees clockwise until it stops. 5. Secure the lightbulb in the frame using the spring. 6. Finally, reconnect the power supply. 3

4 3.2 Replacing light bulbs at the mounting frame Type ES_T9_2019_WHITE 1. To remove the light bulb from the mounting frame, turn the ring on the light bulb counter-clockwise until it stops and then put them out of the middle of the frame. 2. Slightly push the bulb to be replaced into the fitting and rotate it by about 45 counterclockwise. This will remove the light bulb from the fitting. 3. You can now replace the old light bulb with a new one of the same type matching the data in the "Technical Specification" section. 4. Insert the light bulb into the fitting by pushing it in and rotating it by about 45 degrees clockwise until it stops. 5. Push the ring on the light bulb and turn it clockwise until it stops. 6. Finally, reconnect the power supply. 3.3 Replacing light bulbs at the mounting frame Type ES_T10_1044_SILVER 1. To remove the light bulb from the mounting frame, unscrew the chrome-cover counter-clockwise from the mounting frame and then put them out of the middle of the frame. 2. Slightly push the bulb to be replaced into the fitting and rotate it by about 45 counterclockwise. This will remove the light bulb from the fitting. 3. You can now replace the old light bulb with a new one of the same type matching the data in the "Technical Specification" section. 4. Insert the light bulb into the fitting by pushing it in and rotating it by about 45 degrees clockwise until it stops. 5. Unscrew the chrome-cover clockwise on the mounting frame. 6. Finally, reconnect the power supply. 4. 7 5. Cleaning the mounting frame Attention! Before start cleaning the mounting frame please interrupt the current circuit by switching off the circuit breaker or unscrew the fuse! Please cool down the bulb for at least 10 min. before you start cleaning. Please avoid in cleaning of the lamp the wearing of metallic or conductive jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, rings etc. The mounting frame is not waterproof. We recommend for cleaning a soft dry tissue. Please do not use solvent-containing cleaner for cleaning the ceiling light. 6. Proper disposal This product may not be disposed of with household waste. At the end of its useful life, the product must be returned to a point of acceptance for the recycling of electric and electronic device. Please ask your local municipality for the point of acceptance! As the devices contain valuable recyclable materials, they should be sent for recycling, in order not to harm the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal. 7.
