2 BRIGHT STEEL PROCESSING LINES PM Series Peeling Lines For precise cut operations on small and medium diameter bars The PM series is especially designed to fulfill today s needs of precise machining of hot rolled steel bars in the lower and medium diameter range. As such it is predestinated for industrial high volume/ close tolerance applications. All common steel grades and special alloys can be peeled. The machine design in particular provides following special features: Rigid and vibration damping machine design High production speeds achievable High torque on hollow shaft over a wide range of cutterhead revolutions A wide variety of cutting tool set ups from all mayor tool suppliers can be used Adjustment of the cutting tools via very rigid conical bush with individual carbide wear inlays or carbide ring inlay to reduce maintenance Advanced design of labyrinth seals Wide variety of exchangeable tool cartridge set-ups Axial movable infeed unit to allow easy access to tools and guides Easy accessible infeed rolls with quick change design to reduce maintenance requirements 2
