This guide will help guide you through the installation of the Either End Conversion to Lug Assembly. It is best if this entire document is read through prior to installing the Lug Assembly Retrofit for P-Unit. If you have any questions, please contact Magnaflux Customer Service at TOOLS NEEDED Utility Knife 5/16 Combination Wrench Plumber s/crescent Wrench Phillips Screwdriver SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Use Caution while working with sharp objects. 3 COMPONENTS Three 4/0 Lug Connectors with Flat Washer, Lock Washer and Nut (Figure 3-1) FIGURE 3-1 INSTALLATION 1. The Feedback Transformer is secured with a tie wrap and adhesive. Cut the tie wrap securing the Feedback Transformer, pull the unit off and set it aside. (Figure 5-1). FIGURE 5-1 Lug Assembly Retrofit for P-Unit Installation Guide 2

Insert the new 4/0 Lug connector in place of the removed A.C.

4 2. Remove the nut of the A.C. Either End Connector from the back plate using a ¾ Combination Wrench (Figure 5-2). Secure the Either End with a wrench to remove the nut easily and prevent movement of the Either End. FIGURE Insert the new 4/0 Lug connector in place of the removed A.C. Insert the new 4/0 Lug connector in place of the removed COMMON Either End Connector and secure it with the flat washer, lock washer and nut provided

5 4. Remove the nut of the COMMON Either End Connector from the back plate using a ¾ Combination Wrench (Figure 5-4). Secure the Either End with a wrench to remove the nut easily and prevent movement of the Either End. FIGURE Insert the new 4/0 Lug connector in place of the removed COMMON Either End Connector and secure it with the flat washer, lock washer and nut provided (Figure 5-5). NOTE: Due to space restrictions, it is easier to hold the nut with a combination wrench and tighten the assembly using the 4/0 lug and a crescent wrench. Secure the Either End with a wrench to remove the nut easily and prevent movement of the Either End. (Figure 5-6). FIGURE 5-6 7.

6 6. Pull on the front panel to get some space to be able to remove the final nut. This may require the use of two people. Remove the nut of the H.W. Either End connector using a ¾ Combination Wrench. Secure the Either End with a wrench to remove the nut easily and prevent movement of the Either End. (Figure 5-6).
