Install the motor assembly. Install the steel lines. Install the hose bracket. Install the traction hoses. Removing the Existing Wheel No Parts Required. Park the tractor on a level surface and set the parking brake. Turn the ignition key to Off to stop the engine. Remove the key. WARNING Accidental starting of the engine could seriously injure you or other bystanders. Remove the key from the ignition switch before you do any maintenance.. Jack the unit up on castor fork lift point.. Remove the wheel hub assembly from the tire assembly. Discard all items.. Remove the bolts and nuts securing the vertical steering pivot to the castor fork (Figure ). Discard these items. CAUTION Do not loosen the remaining bolts securing the spindle to the castor fork. Installing the Wire Form Hose Guide Wire form hose guide Bolt (/ x -/ inches) Install the wire form hose guide on top of the castor fork and secure it with bolts (/ x -/ inches). Install the degree hydraulic fittings into the wheel motor and orient them approximately as shown. Leave the fittings loose (Figure ).

Install the wheel motor assembly and shim plate to the castor fork, placing the shim between the motor and castor fork, and secure it with socket head bolts (/ x -/ inches), bolts (/ x -/ inches), and lock nuts. Torque to 7 ft-lbs (0.7 N-m). Installing the Steel Lines Tube clamp Hydraulic lines Bolt (/6 x -/ inches) Cover plate Figure. Tube clamp. Cover plate. Hydraulic lines. Bolt. Install the tube clamp to the castor fork. Adjust this assembly for proper fit with the hydraulic fittings and tube clamps (Figure ).. Secure the tube clamps with a cover plate and bolt (/6 x -/ inches) (Figure ). Do not tighten fully until the last step.. Secure the tube fittings and hydraulic fittings. Use back-up wrench to eliminate twisting on hard lines. Installing the Hose Bracket Hose bracket Bolt (/6 x 7/8 inch) 6 Flange nut (/6 inch) Hose shield Wire form. Loosely install the steel hydraulic lines to the wheel motor fittings (Figure ). Gasoline Powered Traction Units Install the hose bracket to the frame and secure it with bolts (/6 x 7/8 inch) and flange nuts (/6 inch) (Figure ).

Disconnect the lower hydraulic pump hose from the pump and from the lower bulkhead tee fitting to the front motors. Discard this hose (Figure 7). Diesel Powered Traction Units. Install the wire form to the frame and secure it with bolts (/6 inch) and nuts (Figure 6). G08 Figure 7. Hydraulic pump. degree hydraulic fitting. Gas unit only Remove the lower 90 degree hydraulic fitting from the pump and replace it with a degree hydraulic fitting. Leave the fitting loose, oriented up and facing out (Figure 7).. Install the hose with straight fittings at both ends through the guide on the castor fork and attach it to the lower steel line. Attach the opposite end to the lower hydraulic pump fitting and to the front motor (Figure 8 or Figure 9).. Install remaining hose through hose guide and attach to upper steel line. Attach the opposite end to the upper tee fitting for front wheel motor (Figure 8 or Figure 9). G080 Figure 6. Bolt. Hose shield. Wire form. Tee fitting. Nut. Bolt (/6 inch). Install the hose shield to the wire form and secure it with bolts and nuts.

5 . Install both hose assemblies into the tube clamp at the hose cover split and attach it to the bracket. (Figure 8; or Figure 9). 9. Add wire ties to hose assemblies as shown (Figure 8 or Figure 9). Secure all hose ends, fittings, and clamps. 6. Tighten the jam nuts on the motor fittings. 0. Rotate castor fork fully in each direction and check for clearance with tire, frame, and tank. 7. Install tire and secure with lug nuts. 8.
