Units are composed of 2 main pumps and one jockey pump set with which the system pressure level can be maintained without having to start the main pumps. The main pumps are always one active + 100% one stand by, and stand by main pump can be either electric driven or diesel driven. Operation The pumps start operating after a fall in the pressure level in the fire extinguishing system. The first pump to be triggered is the jockey pump in the set. If this pump cannot restore the pressure level, then one of main pumps starts. Since there is more than one main pump, the pumps start in cascade sequence with the starting pressure switches set at different pressure levels. The pressure switches of the main pumps are used for automatic starting and adjustable time automatic stopping. Weekly test system is included in the sets which are above 7,5 kw main pumps power. The membrane type of expansion tank with the capacity of 24 liters-16 bar execution is being mounted in fire pumps set for the absorbtion of water hammer. Pumps Main pumps are: NMD Series: Horizontal, Monoblock, end-suction, bronze fitted centrifugal pumps WTM Series: Horizontal, close-coupled, end-suction, centrifugal pumps For NMS and WTM pumps; our standard delivery is cast iron execution. Bronze fitted executions are optional. Jockey Pump is: TP Series: Horizontal, monoblock, peripheral constructed centrifugal pumps MV series: Vertical, multi-staged, stainless steel constructed off-line centrifugal pumps. All pumps are mechanical sealed. The maximum pressure developed by the jockey pump is always greater than the pressure of the main pumps. Electric Motors: 2-pole induction type, 50 Hz, n=2900 rpm, IEC standardized, TEFC Type Three-phase 230/400V +/-10% up to 3 kw, 400/690V +/-10% 4kW and higher Insulation Class F Protection Class IP55 Construction in accordance with IEC

2 Other voltage and frequency ratings and ambient temperatures available on request. Diesel Engines: Diesel engines are equipped with NMD, NMS and WTM series of our pumps. They are direct-injection types fitted with electric control box, fuel tank, starter battery and exhaust silencer. The cooling of engine can be by air, or water cooled by internal cooling system loop. Hydraulic Components All pumps in fire system are being delivered on a common base plate with suction and discharge manifolds as a package type, ready for use. The controllers of pumps are also being mounted ın this common base plate complete with internal cabling between controllers and motors/ engines. Each main pump in the system has its own eccentric reducer + butterfly valve at suction side and concentric reducer + butterfly valve + check valve at discharge side. Manometer is fitted on discharge manifold. Pressures switch one for each pump in the set, and expansion tank is being mounted on discharge manifold. Jockey pump is fitted with inlet/outlet valves and check valve and dry running protection float switch equipped in its controller on the common base plate of fire pumps set. Electric Boxes Firepak -E21 Electric Controller features are as follows; This equipment enables automatic or manual management of an electric Start-delta starting pump according. They are assembled in painted sheet metal housing with IP55 protection class and made in accordance with the CEI standards in force. Electric Star-Delta starting pump electromechanical panel.
