This application is probably the harshest environment for a motorsport sensor as the operating temperatures can exceed 4 C (75 F). Active Sensors design and manufacture miniature LVDT sensors with a continuous operating temperature of 2 C (4 F) and can survive excursions up to 4 C (75 F). There are a number of calliper designs from manufactureres such as AP Racing, Brembo, Akebono and others that are designed for LVDT sensor installation.
