7 NEWTON NP0 RANGER Sewage Pump Rev.0- October 00 The Newton NP0 Ranger - P0 is a low head and high performance sewage pump for the removal of sewage, effluent, waste water and ground water with suspended soft solids of up to 0mm. It is primarily used as the standard pump in our Trojan sump systems but can also be used as a stand-alone pump within formed concrete sumps. The NP0 Ranger - P0 is an automatic pump supplied with a sewage float that cannot be fouled by hardened soaps, sewage and grease etc. which has a clever locking system which changes the pump into a manual pump for use with our control panels. It can be used with Newton Power Converters of 000W to give continual pumping even when the power is out. The NP0 Ranger - P0 is supplied with a one-way check valve and is suitable for 0mm or mm (via an adapter) discharge pipe. For increased duty in a twin pump system, separate discharge lines should be used. The NP0 Ranger - P0 can be specified as a sewage pump within the Newton Titan-Pro sumps, but only when installed in pairs with the floats locked up as manual pumps and used with a control panel. The adjustable neck allows for the sump to be installed at a fixed height relative to the slab so that the connection in from the Newton drainage system and the pump discharge line are made above the concrete. The sump can be used with single pumps, twin pumps and twin pumps with twin discharge lines for greater pump efficiency. The unique sump shape together with a choice of inlet and outlet positions allow for connections in and out of the chamber to be made to either a side wall or to a corner. Page of

15 NEWTON TROJAN SUMP SYSTEMS Rev.0- October 00 PRODUCT CODE - TR to TR The Newton Trojan is a small diameter sewage capable sump system for use with clean or dirty water, effluent or for sewage requirements where hour storage is either not required or where the sewage storage volume is very low. The 0mm diameter chamber is available in three depth sizes and is supplied with the Newton NP0 Ranger - P0 sewage pump and full flow valve to give soft solids handling capabilities. The three available depth sizes give the specifier the correctly sized chamber for their exact pumping requirement. The chambers are made from HDPE and are designed to be buried underground encased in concrete. The Newton Trojan should only be used when other toilet facilities are available to the house holder that do not tip to pumped systems. When storage of sewage is required to accommodate the requirement of building code of 0 litres per person per day, the larger 00mm or 000mm deep Trojan may be suitable. Larger sewage systems are available - please speak to our Technical Department. The 00mm and 000mm deep Trojans are ideal where deeper chambers are required to collect water from external lower level connections. 17 NEWTON NP00 LLPS Low Level Pumping System Rev. - January 00 The Newton NP00LLPS is a pumping system based around the Newton NP00PP Puddle Pump. Switching of puddle pumps is problematic because by their nature they are dealing with low heights of water. This makes conventional switching difficult. The NP00LLPS has a small control panel and low level switching module added to the NP00PP Puddle Pump that will give accurate and safe switching of water levels of just 0mm. The NP00LLPS will pump down to just mm of water depth.. The NPLLPS has an integral a one way check valve and is suitable for use with 0mm flexible suction hose. 18 NEWTON HIGH WATER LEVEL ALARM Rev.0- October 00 PRODUCT CODE - PA The Newton High Level Water Alarm - PA has been designed to detect high water levels within pump sump chambers and is included within the Newton Titan-Pro and Newton Titan pumping systems. The control box is battery operated and uses a standard 9V PP battery. The control box can be programmed to automatic reset or manual reset after an alarm occurrence. A mute button to the front face silences the alarm once the alarm condition is discovered. The red flashing alarm light gives visual indication of an alarm condition and this light will continue to show even when the alarm sounder is muted. When used within a twin pump system, the switch should be set at a height above the point of the start of the lower pump but below the point where the secondary pump would ordinarily start. When used with a Newton Control Panel, the switch should be set above the lower of the two switches from the panel. CONNECTIONS TO OTHER PRODUCTS The Alarm has out connections to provide a start signal to devices such as the Newton Dialler PA or self-start quiet-run LPG generators. This connection can also provide a link to whole house monitoring and alarm systems if required. A two phase charger ensures that the battery is fully charged at all times by trickle charging to keep the battery at optimal charge and then by boosting up to 0 Amps to quickly re-charge the battery after extended use. This 00W unit is designed to be used with single Newton Pumps of 0W to 00W only.
