2 Overview Overview L and LG motors L motors PH7 and PL motors The full capability of the SIMIS S Vector ontrol can be utilized when the drive system is combined with motors of this type. The ontrol Unit evaluates the electronic rating plate via the IV-LiQ interface as well as the motor-integrated encoder signals. This means that motor and encoder data do not need to be parameterized when the system is started up or serviced. PH7 and PL motors are designed for converter operation and are characterized by their high power density and wide range. These motors are available in a variety of construction types and models for a wide scope of drive applications. L, LG, M and M motors These motors are designed for direct connection to the threephase supply system, but they can also operate with the SIMIS drive system. or technical data and engineering information, please refer to atalog M. PQ motors s these motors are forced-ventilated, no derating or only relatively minor derating (depending on their range) is required for constant-torque applications and wide ranges. Synchronous motors U motors U permanent-magnet-excited SIMOSY synchronous motors can be operated in the "V/f control" mode. These motors are employed as stand-alone or sectional drives for applications demanding high s, excellent accuracy and absolute synchronous operation. PH7, shaft height The PH7 are compact, forced-ventilated squirrelcage asynchronous (induction) motors with degree of protection IP. The motors are ventilated, as standard, using a built-on separately-driven fan unit. The motor can be ordered either with the air flow from the motor drive shaft end () to the motor non-drive shaft end () - or vice versa.
