1 FAQs I have installed the ATS panel but it won t go into the mains supply? First check all cables are in place and properly installed and that the control fuses (A-C on page 4) have not blown. If it still isn t working then it means that something is wrong with the supply, the supply is either down or below the programs limits. See pages 8-9 entitled setting up the panel for instructions on how to adjust this. I have successfully installed my panel but it keeps dropping off mains and switching to gen when the voltage is stable? It is likely that the supply is not very stable, though it may be within tolerances when measured, it must be checked during a mains failure event. If you are sure it is then check all connection terminals are suitably tightened and none of the wires in the panel have sustained any damage. I have successfully installed my panel but it has suddenly stopped working? Check the fuse bank, it could be that one of the fuses has blown. Installation Notes: Installation instructions for ATS panel Ref:ATS --/2 M2GC705 Issue This ATS is designed for use with one permanently available supply and a generator requiring a start signal. Please ensure you have the correct model of ATS for your application prior to installation. This panel adheres to the European standard IEC for transfer equipment. The installer is responsible for ensuring that the installation conforms to the requirements of BS 7671 (Wiring regulations) and best safe working practice. We recommend local isolation of both supplies, immediately adjacent to the panel. 3 OPERATION OF THE PANEL. The four LEDs at the bottom of the panel indicate the status of the supplies. The outer left LED indicates the mains supply is available and healthy, the inner left LED indicates mains contact closed, the inner right LED indicates Generator contact closed and the outer right LED indicates that the Generator is running. INSTALLING THE PANEL Enclosure Fixing Hole Dimensions The left hand button or manual on load will signal the genset to switch on the generator using the preset timer configurations; it will then change the panel over to run the load off the generator. The middle button or manual off load will turn on the Generator but continue to run the load using the mains supply. Should the mains fail in this mode the panel will switch the load onto the generator. Pressing either of these buttons will turn the panel over to manual mode indicated by the turning off of the Auto LED. To continue normal function, press the right hand or Auto button. 5 SETTING UP THE PANEL. INSTALLING THE PANEL Cable Connection and Panel Layout Key REFERRING TO THE DS705 CONTROLLER ON THE DOOR OF THE ATS 1. The DS705 requires a constant DC supply, usually taken from the battery on the genset controller (Another power supply can be used if for some reason this is not possible, Switchgear Systems Ltd. has a range of units available on request). The Negative start signal terminal in the ATS panel should be wired to the negative start terminal on the genset. 2. When in Auto mode (indicated by the LED beside the auto button) the DS705 controller will automatically start up and switch over to the generator on mains failure. 3. Configuration of the DS705 settings is achieved by toggling a small switch located at the top left hand side on the back of the controller. It is partially hidden just behind the PCB to prevent accidental switching. Auto Mode Config Mode 4. Refer to picture on page 10. When in config. mode the auto light will flash. Pressing the manual on load button (left) will cycle through the function codes indicated by the 5 left hand LEDs in the row of 8 running across the top.
