Lighting Components, Inc., in Atlanta, Georgia. The multi-radii metal forming equipment is unique. The multi-radii does exactly what the name implies. It forms several radii in a continuous bend and leaves no die marks, or unnecessary creases. It's computer controls offer outstanding design freedom for sophisticated lighting applications that require precise angles of light distribution on reflective surfaces. This system of manufacturing singles out A.L.P. in the industry. The complete reflector line satisfies the requirements of almost all fluorescent fixture reflector retrofits. It is designed for one and two lamp strip fixtures and ceiling troffers. Whether the reflectors are used for delamping or light enhancement, there is no better reflector in the marketplace. Consistency of product quality has always been a benchmark of A.L.P. components. The A.L.P. engineering department insures that A.L.P. will continue to meet all challenges for advanced and energy efficient products for today and the future. UNDERSTANDING REFLECTOR RETROFIT The installation of the reflector increases the usable light emitted by the lamps. The improved reflectivity of the reflector and repositioning of the lamps, both contribute to the increase. This enables either light enhancement or a reduction in the number of lamps being used while maintaining a quality lighting installation. REFLECTOR APPLICATION The most common retrofit is the conversion of a 2' x 4' four lamp T12 to two T8 lamps. Two lamps and one ballast are removed and a new ballast is installed. The lamp sockets are repositioned for the remaining lamps. The reflector is installed and the light output of the lamps is enhanced. Another application is a reflector installed on a single or double lamp strip fixture. This increases usable light from the fixture. ENERGY MANAGEMENT A growing number of utility companies are offering programs and incentives to commercial accounts practicing energy conservation. s are a sound investment with a guaranteed return and usually offer a payback in two years or less. s cost substantially less than new fixtures and are an ideal answer to refurbishing existing fixtures without rewiring or disturbing the ceiling integrity. This retrofit system allows for removal and discarding of the ballast cover, relocation of lamps, optimizing light output and reducing energy consumption to comply with utility rebate requirements.
