3 KIT CONTENTS (PARTS LIST) Deco s s are designed for easy installation. Please reference table to the right to determine your kit contents for your install type. 2 Standard components of a single kit

4 Installer Notes: 1.) IMPORTANT: During install, be careful not to touch the LEDs, at the risk of damaging them. 2.) When wiring power supply to AC input using the power supply, Green wire attaches to Ground. All other power supplies only have 2 wire AC inputs. 3.) A set of labels with model, serial number, and date of manufacture are included in packaging and must be installed in the luminaire once installation is complete. All of these labels must be applied in compliance with UL standards. 4.) Install requires application of the Luminaire Modification Label provided in your kit, as per UL. This label includes the statement: This fixture has been modified and can no longer operate the originally intended lamp. This label should be applied to troffer housing during installation (Step 17). 5.) Sleeving on jumper wires is not reflected in the wiring drawings. Be sure sleeving is in place where sharp edges from the ballast cover may come in contact with the cable. 6.) IMPORTANT: Placement of kit components should be thought out and determined prior to surface adherence, to ensure that placement of parts reflects cable lengths. 7.) Placement of LINEA-LED Strips in a fixture using a parabolic lens must be carefully determined prior to adherence, so that strips will be placed in the middle of cells to allow maximum light output. Begin Installation Read all warnings (p. 1) AND Installer Notes (p. 3) before proceeding with retrofit. Check your retrofit kit against parts list (page 2). Disconnect power to fixture. Note: This installation guide pertains to Deco Retrofit Kit install in typical 1 x4, 2 x2, and 2 x4 recessed troffers. Diagrams below show standard fluorescent fixtures (1 x4, 2 x2, and 2 x4 ) prior to retrofit (not showing diffuser cover): 2x2 2x4 1x4 Fluorescent Fixture Examples, Before Retrofit: 3

5 Remove fluorescent tubes (**Dispose of tubes in proper accordance with current state and federal regulation. Fluorescent tubes contain hazardous materials**) Remove ballast cover Cut both wires at ballast to the AC 8 9 lamp holders (sockets) USE CLOTH AND CLEANING SOLUTION TO WIPE DOWN THE SURFACE OF HOUSING THOROUGHLY BE SURE TO REMOVE ALL DUST, GREASE, ETC & DRY BEFORE PROCEEDING Cut the wiring at the lamp holder strips. Do not remove lamp holders. 4

6 10 Install Power Supply(ies), securing with the screws provided in the kit: Remove cover film from thermal tape on the back of the Power Supply(ies) When determining where to mount driver, consider provided RED/BLACK jumper cable lengths to ensure all components will be within reach. Carefully press Power Supply on surface of luminaire. Use a power drill to secure power supply with screws in holes located on supply(ies) 11 Connect flying leads from power supply to AC Mains connection (from existing housing) according to diagram A below DIAGRAM A AC AC in LED Driver Tie (using wire nuts): Black [AC out - Live] to Brown [AC in] White [AC out - Neutral] to Blue [AC in] Tie (using wire nuts): Green [AC out] to Green [Ground] Input AC Ground 5

7 12 Connect power supply to connector board Re-install ballast cover over connector board and power suppl(ied). Install LINEA-LED Strips : Remove cover film from back of thermal tape Carefully press the LINEA-LED Strips onto mounting surface. BE SURE NOT TO TOUCH LEDS, AT THE RISK OF DAMAGING THEM. For installs into fixtures with a parabolic lens, when possible, carefully align strips so that when troffer is closed, strips will be oriented in the middle of the parabolic lens cells. Secure each individual LED Strip to the housing using 3 screws. Kits should contain 3 screws for each Strip. 16 Connect LED Driver to Dimming Sensor. Run Blue (DIM +) and White (DIM -) wires from LED Driver to 0-10V Dimming Sensor, as per Diagram B on page 7. Run RED/BLACK jumper cables from connector board(s) to Linea-LED. Be sure sleeving is oriented where any sharp edges from the ballast cover may come in contact with the wire. 17 Installer must now adhere Luminaire Modification Label to the fixture. Luminaire Label is included in packaging and reads: This luminaire has been modified and can no longer operate the originally intended lamp. This step is required by UL standards. 6
