4 LCM CONVERSION KIT Converts a T/T8 lamp fixture into a T5 lamp fixture The Lumiversal LCM Conversion Kit includes all of the necessary components to permanently convert an existing T/T8 linear fluorescent fixture into a T5 fixture. The kit contains one Lumiversal Lumenus T5 lamp for every lamp to be replaced, two adjustable lampholder adaptors for each lamp, and one programmed warm-start electronic ballast. Optional features that allow you to customize your retrofit include a reflector, used to redirect surplus light emitted upward into a fixture, and a lamp shield/diffuser. The LCM Conversion Kit delivers dramatic energy savings, long lamp life, easy installation and design flexibility in one package. A wide selection of Lumenus T5 lamps and ballasts allows you to customize your new lighting system to your particular needs. 5 Adjustable Lampholder Adapters A unique feature of the Lumiversal LCM Conversion Kit is its adjustable lampholder adapters, which affix to the existing T/T8 lampholders, narrowing the distance between them, thus allowing a T5 lamp to fit within the T/T8 fixture. When the kit is used with the optional reflector, these specially designed lampholders rotate up to 60 in either direction, enabling the light to be focused on the desired area, such as a work table, commercial or retail display, or architectural feature. Reflectors The optional reflector promotes fixture efficiency and offers flexible design options. The reflector houses a two-sided removable film that provides a choice between four reflective surfaces: aluminum matte, highly reflective mirror, softer white matte and brushed aluminum. By reflecting much of the surplus light emitted upward into the fixture, this feature improves the realized light output efficiency. Protective Shields / Diffusers The optional lamp shield/diffuser is available in three styles: clear, frosted and striped. The frosted and striped options diffuse the light emitted from the lamp. All diffusers protect the lamps from impact-related damage. In addition, the lamp/shield diffuser is recommended for cold applications such as refrigerated cases or outdoor parking structures because it helps to keep the lamp warm, resulting in better performance. 7 LUM ADAPTER KIT Install T5 Lamp Technology in an Existing T/T8 Lamp Fixture The Lumiversal LUM Adapter Kit is designed to retrofit existing T and T8 lamp fixtures to use more efficient T5 lamp technology. The adapter features a composite structure with an integrated, advanced ballast, a reflector, and a Lumenus T5 lamp. The LUM Adapter Kit can significantly reduce wattage consumed while ensuring excellent light output and quality, and makes future ballast replacement as simple as changing a lamp. 23 BALLASTS Lumiversal Programmed Warm-start Ballast Technology Lumiversal programmed warm-start ballasts are among the most efficient ballasts available. They maximize lamp life by precisely heating lamp electrodes prior to applying the starting voltage. Additionally, they combine several advanced ballast features and use exceptionally high-quality components which enable them to offer greater energy savings than comparable ballasts. Prolonged Lamp & Ballast Life Lumiversal ballasts are built with advanced digital technology which enables them to last at least 50,000 hours. By precisely heating lamp electrodes they prolong lamp life and are ideal for use with energy-saving occupancy sensors. Equipped with Lumiversal ballasts, lamps can withstand up to 00,000 switch cycles. This results in reduced maintenance costs and lowered replacement expenses. Auto-Reset Breaker Nearly all advanced ballasts offered by larger manufacturers are equipped with a one-use, non-serviceable fuse that protects the ballast from electrical surges. Once the fuse is blown, the ballast must be replaced. All Lumiversal ballasts feature an advanced electrical-surge and transient-voltage detection circuit coupled with an auto-reset breaker. This advanced circuit protects the ballast, which automatically resets when tripped.
