38 Blending lessons learned & take-aways 5. Don t bite off more than you can chew I want to analyzer both blend headers PLUS all ten component streams. 4. Watch out for those promoting shortcuts that seem to good to be true We want to use only in-situ probes. Extractive sampling is overkill. 3. Make sure on-line analyzer has a companion lab unit to develop and support calibrations Calibration transfer is not critical, we will develop the models on the on-line analyzer. 2. Be careful of stream switching We want to use stream switching to cut costs on measuring blend header and components. 1. Remove water, remove particulates and control temperature We model temperature
