The following srip coaings were iniially esed in 2006 by MPA BAU HANNOVER. The basis for esing was Reference MBL KO-01 for verificaion of compliance of corrosion proecion sysems for building producs made of seel shee in accordance wih Building Regulaion Lis A, Par 1, daed April The meallic coaing of he corrosion proecion sysems consiss of a srip coaing wih a coaing weigh of 275 g/m 2. Corrosion Proecion Class III in accordance wih DIN , Building Class B2 in accordance wih DIN PUR-PA 25 DlN Z min : 22 micromeers SP25 DIN Z min : 21 micromeers PVDF 25 DIN Z min : 20 micromeers Corrosion Proecion Class II in accordance wih DIN , Building Class B2 in accordance wih DIN SP25 DIN Z/15 micromeers Z min : 15 micromeers The named corrosion proecion sysems are hus suiable for manufacuring building produc (seel rapezoid secions) of Building Regulaion Lis A, Par 1, daed January 2008, and are lised accordingly among he approved coaing sysems published by Güegemeinschaf Bauelemene aus Sahlblech e.v. Half olerances se forh in DIN EN apply o he seel srip for he lower limis of shee hicknesses. voesalpine Sahl GmbH has developed a new coaing for he ho-dip coaing of seel srip. The coaing consiss of a zinc-magnesium (abbreviaed as ZM) alloy. In order o verify congruence of coaing ZM120 (coaing weigh of 120 g/m 2 ) wih coaing Z275 normed in EN 10326, MPA BAU HANNOVER was commissioned wih he comparaive esing, which is he subjec maer of his documen. The basis for esing wih respec o he ype and exen of he ess o be conduced was Reference MBL KO-01 for verificaion of compliance of corrosion proecion sysems for building producs made of seel shee in accordance wih Building Regulaion Lis A, Par 1, daed April 2002.

The infrared daa were documened wih he oher sample daa. Congruence was deermined by comparing he specra documened during he firs esing of corrosion proecion sysems wih a srip zinc coaing a MPA BAU HANNOVER in Meallic The coaing weigh was deermined in accordance wih Appendix A of DIN EN by means of chemically removing he meallic coaing on samples measuring approximaely 80 mm x 80 mm. Triple-surface ess were performed on he samples. Tables 9 and 10 show he coaing weighs and he calculaed coaing hicknesses. According o voesalpine, he densiy of he zinc-magnesium coaing is 6.6 g/cm 3. Thus a coaing weigh of 120 g/m 2 corresponds o a coaing hickness of 9.2 micromeers.

Visible changes in he surface were deermined afer he samples were cooled o room emperaure. The cross-cu es o deermine coaing adhesion was performed on samples from he coil cener in accordance wih DIN EN ISO 2409: Three cross cus per sample were made manually wih a cuer wih 1 mm beween each cu. Sandard-complian ape was used for he ape separaion es. The hree inspeced coaing samples complied wih a permissible maximum cross-cu value of 1 in accordance wih DIN EN ISO 2409 and DIN Creepage and Blisering Following he Sal Spray in Accordance wih DIN ing was performed in a esing insiue in accordance wih DIN 50021: by means of esing mehod DIN SS. Prior o he sal spray es, a V groove was cu according o he Clemen mehod in wo samples per coaing uni. The groove ran parallel o he long edges and was cu down o he meallic coaing. The lengh of he groove was approximaely 130 mm a a disance o he edges of a leas 30 mm. Creepage resuling from he groove was deermined four hours afer he es was compleed. Loose coaing paricles were removed by means of adhesive ape separaion or wih a knife. The widh of he creepage zone was measured a eleven poins a disances of 10 mm. The degree of blisering was deermined in accordance wih DIN while ignoring he grooved area and he edge areas of he samples. The area of he inspeced surface coincided wih ha of he DIN sandard images showing degrees of blisering. The es resuls are summarized in Table 15 hrough 17. The samples were manually ben 180 and parallel o rolling direcion beween he pressure plaes of a universal esing machine. The measuremens of he cracks formed in he bending zone where here was no inerlay shee did no exceed he maximum permissible crack measuremens (widh of 0.2 mm, lengh of 2 mm). Wih a T value of 0, he srip coaings me he requiremens of DIN , which prescribes a maximum T value of 4.

10 MPA BAU Hannover Inspecion Repor Page Adhesion of he Meallic In accordance wih Secion 7.9 of DIN EN 10326, bending ess were performed o assess he degree of adhesion in accordance wih DIN EN ISO The ess were performed on all samples under inspecion and here were no signs of flaking, cracking or roughening in he srip coaing. The meallic coaing consised of boh a non-normed zinc-magnesium alloy ZM 120 wih a coaing weigh of 120 g/m 2 and a zinc coaing Z275 normed in EN The binding agens of he organic coaings were polyurehane polyamide (PUR- PA), polyeser resin (SP) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF 25). The esed corrosion proecion sysems comply wih he requiremens of DIN : , Proecion of Seel Srucures from Corrosion by Organic and Meallic s; Proecion of Supporing Thin-Walled Building Componens from Corrosion. The seel srips coaed wih a ho-dip zinc-magnesium alloy and addiional organic srip coaings were congruen wih he comparable Z275 corrosion proecion sysems normed in EN I0326.
