1 This document has been created to point out main power inputs and grounds for the Ford EEC-V harness for swapping a modular V8 engine into another vehicle. This document may not be fully exhaustive of all power inputs and grounds, but it covers the majority of them. At the very least these are the inputs required to get the car up and running. There may be more for things like transmission, intercooler pumps, etc. If you have input on how that I can make this document better, please use the contact link at the bottom of the page and send me an . Power Inputs Connector C pin rectangular gray connector. 1. Pin 3 (Black/Orange). Hot at all times +12v, protected with 30amp fuse. This is power supplied to CCRM box for the PCM. (supplies +12v to pins 8 & 10 on CCRM) 2. Pin 4 (Dark Green/Orange). Hot at all times, +12v, protected with 20amp fuse. Power for A/C clutch. 3. Pin 14 (Light Blue/Orange). Hot at all times, +12v, protected with 20amp fuse. Power for fuel pump. Connector C145 Round black 4-pin heavy duty connector (should only have 3 wires going into it). 4. Pin 4 (Yellow/Black) Hot at all times, +12v protected with 50amp fuse. Provides power to cooling fans. Connector C214 8-pin rectangular gray connector. 5. Pin 6 (White/Blue) Switched to ignition, +12v protect with 20 amp fuse. This wire activates the relay inside CCRM box that turns on PCM power. I ran this directly from the wire coming off of the ignition switch inside the steering column which on Fox chassis cars this will be Red/Light Green wire coming out of ignition module/switch. Note: Don t run this to anything in the fuse-box since power is cut when ignition is turned to Start. 6. Pin 3 (Red) switched to ignition, +12v protect with 20amp fuse. Supplies power to PCM, MAF, fuel injectors and transmission hardware unit. Connector C pin long rectangular green connector. 7. Pin 16 (Red/White) - Hot at all times +12v, protected with 5amp fuse. This is the power supply for the PCM memory.

2 03/04 Cobra Specific Power Inputs TBD Grounds 1. G201 - Black wire off computer harness with ring terminal. Ground to chassis away from PCM. Used as PCM ground and grounding for sensor shielding. Connector C145 - This is a round heavy gauge 4-pin connector, mine only had 3 wires in it and it contains the main computer harness ground. 2. Pin 1 (Black/White)12ga wire off of computer harness. Ground to pass-side frame. Maybe able to use one of the headlight grounds at the front of the car. Ground to Block 3. This is the MAJOR ground that connects the block to the frame. Ground is connected behind the oil filter/coolant outlet on the block. Make sure this is a good cable and has a good connection to the chassis. Not having a good ground between the engine/chassis can wreak all kinds of havoc. C144 Gray 16-pin connector. Located in front/passenger side of engine compartment. Purpose: Provides power to CCRM for PCM, A/C clutch & fuel pump relays.

3 C145 Round Black 4-pin connector Heavy Duty. Located in front/passenger side of engine compartment. Purpose: Power for cooling fans and main ground for computer harness. C214 Rectangular Gray 8-pin connector. Located under dash on passenger side near PCM connector. Purpose: Provides switched power for CCRM/PCM relay and power for various EFI components.

4 C215 Rectangular Green 16-pin connector. Located under dash on passenger side near PCM connector. Purpose: PCM memory power G201 Ring terminal. Spliced into main harness. Purpose: Ground for sensor shielding.
