3 logo & usage The BEST BUY logo is always featured in black and white. The text is always black with the tick through the wording remaining white in colour. 7 typography The Helvetica font is the only approved typeface for Best BuY artwork. Helvetica Neue LT 97 Black Condensed should be used for the product name. 8 principles The dominant features of the BEST BUY packaging are the strong headline and the coloured tick panel. The diagram points out where the different elements should be positioned. For example, the product name is always in the top left corner. 11 information boxes There are two types of information boxes: contents box and specifications box. These boxes are to be used on the back of the packaging wherever possible. If there is limited space, they can be used on the side of packaging. contents box When there is a large number of pieces in the product, a contents box can be used to display the contents effectively. The contents box should be placed on the back of the packaging wherever possible (refer to example on p. 13). specifications box This information is used on products that have technical specifications. The specifications box follows a similar format to the contents box. It should be placed on the back of the packaging wherever possible. 13 barcodes The size specifications for EAN 13 GTIN s on consumer units are: Nominal 100% The white box of area surrounding the barcode: Width = mm, Height = mm The barcode for this white area must be: Width = mm, Height = mm See example to the right One of the mandatory packaging requirements is that each bar code must scan first time, every time. 14 recyclable logos The Super Cheap Auto Group is part of the Australian Packaging Covenant and has committed to the principles of sustainable packaging and providing adequate information to our customers to be able to identify recyclable packaging. All artwork must display the applicable logo and information regarding recycling capabilities; and must meet the guidelines for packaging as per our Packaging, Barcoding and Labelling Specifications available on our website. The Recyclable logo should never appear less than 15mm wide. The qualifying statement should appear in a reasonable size in order to be clearly visible by all our customers. The logo and information should be located near the barcode information and multiple logos should be located next to each other in all circumstances. If the packaging or any part of the packaging is recyclabe, one of the following logos must be used: In case the whole packaging is recyclable Recyclable packaging In case only some part of packaging is recyclable, a qualifying statement must be presented bellow the recycling symbol.
