PORTRAIT AND LANDSCAPE USE For use on portrait rectangular packaging, use the logo above. For landscape rectangular packaging, use the logo with the long extendor below. TAGLINE will be proportionate. Type is Helvetica Neue 97 Black Condensed Italic. In the case of the portrait logo above, right aligned with the end of the horizontal extendor. With the landscape logo, between 5 7mm from the edge of the packaging. 1

5 ONE COLOUR LOGO To be used only on the printing of jackets and other promotional clothing items, when only one colour is available, ie, saftey jackets. Use only colours similar to PMS 289. Tagline knocks out of blue background. GREYSCALE LOGO Background is black. Logo is greyscale in Photoshop. Tagline is white. 2

However, when there is no photography and when there is no other choice, the colours can be reproduced using the Pantone Matching System. PRODUCT IMAGES All product images are in full colour (CMYK) and are to be placed on front panels of packs; where appropriate. To add more interest to the product, it is preferable to place the image on a complimentary angle that does not exceed 35. PRODUCT IN-SITUATION IMAGES Product In-situation photos should be used sparingly so as not to clutter up the premium look. All product In-situation images are in full colour (CMYK) and are to be placed near relevant product usage information. Each In-situation image is to be placed in a PMS 158 keyline box with a 3 pt stroke. 5

10 WARRANTY SYMBOLS AND MINOR LOGOS WARRANTY Type is outlined. Strokes are proportional to enlargment or reduction. Two versions: one for solid Pantone 289 background, one for white background. 11 BARCODES The size specifications for EAN 13 GTIN s on consumer units are: Nominal 100% The white box of area surrounding the barcode: Width = mm, Height = mm The barcode for this white area must be: Width = mm, Height = mm See example below One of the mandatory packaging requirements is that each bar code must scan first time, every time.
