Linear LED strip Connectors (Unless this is being pre-fabricated by LLI Architectural, or soldered on site) Extrusions/Lens (Optional) Power Supplies 1

2 Please read and follow these steps before beginning the installation. These products may represent a potential shock or fire hazard if improperly installed or attached in any way. Products should be installed in accordance with these instructions, current electrical codes and/or the National Electric Code (NEC). Do not connect directly to high voltage power ( v)! To avoid electrical shock, disconnect or disable power at the source prior to installation or maintenance. Use only 12v or 24v Linear LED strip. Factory warranty will be void if used otherwise. To avoid product failure, ensure proper width Linear LED and proper wire gauge are used when attaching connector. Factory warranty will be void if used otherwise. Gripper connectors are intended for indoor use in dry locations unless specified for outdoor use. Do not use if there is any damage to the unit or to the copper connection pins. Ensure proper gauge wires are installed between power supplies, controls and Linear LED lighting to avoid overheating/overloading tand product failure. 3 Prior to Installation NOTE: Ensure width of LED strip and connector match. Ensure quantity of pins on connector match the quantity of solder pads on the LED strip. NOTE: Can be used with dry location and resin dipped LED strip types. Is not compatible with solid silicone and silicone covered LED strip types. NOTE: Ensure wire gauge is between 18awg - 24 awg. 4 Attaching LED Strip to Connector STEP 1 STEP 2 Open cap of connector exposing LED strip light connection pins. Insert LED strip into connector until fully seated against the back of the connector block. STEP 3 Click Press connector cap down to lock in place. If cap interferes with LED, back out LED strip slightly and close cap. If necessary use pliers to close cap. Ensure cap snaps closed over base latch. 4

5 Attaching Wire to Connector STEP 4 STEP 5 Open cap of connector exposing wire blades. Insert wires into connector until fully seated against the back of the connector block. Ensure the wire polarity matches that of the LED strip. STEP 6 NOTE: Not necessary to strip insulation back on wire. Click Press connector cap down to lock in place. If necessary use pliers to close cap. Ensure cap snaps closed over base latch. 5
