4 eries Progressive Lubrication ystem ntroduction to eries Progressive 4 0 The series progressive system is designed to provide a more reliable and efficient way to lubricate machinery bearings. By centralizing all of a machine s grease points, the amount of time needed to properly maintain a piece of equipment is greatly reduced. Downtime due to bearing related failures decreases also. Worker safety is improved by virtually eliminating the need to remove safety guarding, or to crawl into a piece of equipment to access those hard-to-reach grease points. ll of the grease points are lubricated by one safe and easily accessible location outside of the safety guarding. The 40 eries Valve is the heart of each series progressive lubrication system. ach 40 eries Valve incorporates a number of metering pins that dispense a highly repeatable volume of lubricant to each outlet. Visual confirmation that the valve has completed a full cycle is provided by a cycle indicator pin. Figure 1 Crossporting a 40 eries Valve ach outlet on the 40 eries Valve is marked with a number. By placing an M10x1 closure plug in an outlet, the lubricant is redirected to the next adjacent outlet in descending numerical order. Crossporting allows multiple outlets to be combined together to meet the demands of larger lube points. pecial attention must be paid to never plug outlets 1 and 2. 6 eries Progressive Lubrication ystem ntroducing the co Valve 4 1 C O V L V The co line of eries Progressive Valves was developed with two things in mind, reliability and ease of installation. Manufactured to the same exacting standards as our 40 eries, the co is a non-crossporting divider valve that eliminates the need for outlet adapters by providing 1/8 PTF(F) outlets. The co Valve is available with or without a cycle indicator pin for visual confirmation that the valve has completed a cycle. Why use an co Valve? Do you have an application where all of the grease points require the same amount of lubricant? Do you have a multi valve system where one or two of the valves are not being crossported? These, among others, are ideal applications for the co. Having been manufactured to the same tolerances as the 40 eries, the co Valve is designed for use in the same circuit. Use it as a primary valve; use it as a secondary valve; the co can handle it. ummary Figure 1 The co line of eries Progressive Valves is a noncrossporting option for those applications that do not require this feature. The co Valves have the same output per cycle as the 40 eries, the same corrosion resistant coating, offer the same cycle indicator and have the exact same mounting. ll of this, without the added expense of ll outlets 1/8 PTF outlet adapters. Figure 1 illustrates that each outlet on an co Valve receives the same output per cycle. There are no crossport passages in this valve so at no time should any of the lubricant outlets be plugged.
