4 Adjustment Functionality meets elegance Adjusting twodisc fertiliser spreaders has never been so easy. All functions can be adjusted quickly and safely at the CDA adjustment centre in an ergonomically ideal position: Fertiliser type Working width Application rate Direct contact with spreading vanes is no longer required during adjustment. AXIS M/H EMC+W with VariSpread dynamic are remotely adjusted at the operating terminal in the driver s cabin. VariSpread V4 Mechanical drop point adjustment One easytocontrol turn at the CDA adjustment centre is all you need to adjust AXIS M EMC quickly and safely to the required fertiliser type and working width. The drop point is adjusted by one electrically remotecontrolled actuator each on the left and righthand side. AXIS M only requires manual presetting of the TELIMAT T25 or GSE 30/60 limited border spreading unit. Additionally, automatic drop point and application rate adjustment (VariSpread) enables remote control of sections on each side on wedgeshaped fields (refer to VariSpread on page 10). 6 EMC automatic metering system The revolution in metering technology In contrast to conventional weighing spreaders with weigh cells, EMC provides separate metering and control of the fertiliser application rate on the left and righthand side. Changed fertiliser flow properties are compensated fully automatically and separately on the right and lefthand side. The intelligent EMC automatic metering system applies the relationship between fertiliser flow rate and spreading disc drive torque. The result: Outstanding metering precision even with problematic fertiliser qualities. EMC: Fullyautomatic metering without weigh cells EMC provides metering and control of the current fertiliser flow rate fully automatically and separately at the left and right metering slides. Stateoftheart sensors are applied for contactless measurement of the spreading disc drive torque. EMC achieves optimum metering precision in an impressively wide fertiliser flow range of 20 to 500 kg/min. Drivers simply need to enter the application rate (kg/ha) and working width and start spreading. The fertiliser flow rate is automatically and separately controlled on both sides according to the forward speed. EMC advantage: Changes in fertiliser flow properties are separately recognised and compensated on each side. The metering accuracy is no longer affected by vibrations or slopes. This way, EMC offers significantly higher metering accuracy in comparison to conventional weighing spreaders with control according to the fertiliser weight in the hopper. EMC+W: Always an eye on the residual quantity at EMC+W, the residual quantity weighing system additionally displays the current quantity in the hopper. This supports documentation and optimum transfer timing. 6

OPTIMUM OPTIMUM AXIS M EMC Torsion measurement sensors The spreading disc drive torque is measured by stateoftheart highfrequency sensors according to the torsion at the drive axes. AXIS M EMC can be easily combined with tractors of any power class. EMC provides fully automatic and separate metering on the left and righthand side Clear EMC advantages In contrast to weigh cell spreaders, EMC provides separate metering of the left and righthand side. AXIS H EMC Magnetostriction sensors The new AXIS H magnetostriction torque sensors are based on a simple physical principle: If the load on the spreading disc axis changes, the magnetic field changes as well. Based on the contactfree measurement of the change in the magnetic field, H EMC calculates the drive torque of the spreading discs within fractions of a second and with high precision. 10 VariSpread NEW! VariSpread for all AXIS EMC models VariSpread V4 All AXIS spreaders with QUANTRONA and manual CDA drop point adjustment are equipped with VariSpread V4 4fold section control. By remote application rate adjustment according to the metering slide positions, two sections can be achieved on each side. VariSpread V8 All AXIS spreaders with QUANTRONA and automatic CDA drop point adjustment are equipped with VariSpread V8 8fold section control. By remote metering slide and drop point adjustment, four sections can be achieved on each side. VariSpread dynamic In contrast to conventional section control systems, VariSpread dynamic provides fully automatic working width and application rate adjustment in a fluent process. Thanks to particularly quick actuators for drop point adjustment, VariSpread dynamic enables almost stepless spreading of wedgeshaped fields. Additionally, the outer spreading ranges can be applied separately. This means that fertiliser can be spread precisely even in problematic areas of wedgeshaped headlands. 10

11 GPSControl with OptiPoint and VariSpread QUANTRONGuide The GPScontrolled automatic QUANTRONGuide headlands and section control system optimises fertiliser spreading on headlands and wedgeshaped fields. QUANTRONGuide makes use of the freeofcharge Egnos signal. The Parallel Tracking function enables precise parallel tracking. Sectionspecific fertilisation according to digital ISOXML or shape format application cards can be enabled additionally. OptiPoint Dünger 1 Dünger 2 Precise and convenient on the headlands. All RAUCH AXIS spreaders with GPSControl are equipped with the brilliant OptiPoint headlands control system. OptiPoint calculates the respective switching points for opening and closing of the metering slides on the headlands for each fertiliser type and working width. Thanks to the spreading distance parameter of the fertiliser chart, OptiPoint can be adjusted quickly and easily. With AXIS, the smallest application rates starting from 3 kg/ha as well as largest application rates can be precisely spread without affecting the forward speed and working width. The long and wide CDA slide opening at the disc centre and the gentle hightech fertiliser transfer to the spreading vanes permit impressive working speeds of up to 25 km/h without losing any precision. Even under extreme conditions like working widths of 24 m at forward speeds of 25 km/h, AXIS still allows remarkable application rates of 500 kg/ha in NPK spreading. With its HighSpeed Spreading function, AXIS offers previously untapped potential for efficient cost reduction and increased power in fertiliser application. Granusafe: Grain by grain precision The innovative Granusafe system protects the fertiliser, guaranteeing the gentle and precise transfer of sensitive granulates from the hopper to the field via the spreading vanes. Thanks to the harmonic configuration of: the agitators slowly rotating at just 17 rpm with integrated overload protection the optimum spreading disc speed of 900 rpm the flowoptimized slide openings located near the centre the brushshaped turbulence stoppers and the aerodynamic Airfins on the spreading discs, grinding effects, the formation of broken or crushed grains and air turbulences in the sensitive spreading zone are reduced to a minimum. Unique in spreading technology: AXIS M/H is equipped with overload protection systems protecting the entire transmission unit including gentle agitators from overstress, blockage, incorrect operation or jerky switching of PTO shafts.
