3 The new ELIOS Sometimes you just need to be built right. For work in confined spaces or on steep slopes, a tractor with the right format is essential. With its low centre of gravity and low overall height, the new ELIOS can reach places that are inaccessible to conventional tractors. Front loaders and a front PTO expand its range of potential applications. Compact and manoeuvrable wherever you need it: the new ELIOS. 4 Agility is everything. The ELIOS was developed specifically for everyday work. It is powerful and very compact, and even performs well on slopes thanks to its low centre of gravity. With a turning radius of just 3.47 m, the ELIOS can move around nimbly in the yard and in confined spaces. Its low overall height from 2.37 m with cab allows the ELIOS to operate in buildings with low ceilings, while the platform version with a folding roll bar is the ideal partner for greenhouse work. Space-saving, reliable and easy to reach: the air filter ELIOS 240 more power for PTO and transport work The four different models cover a performance range from 75 to 92 hp (ECE R 120). The 4-cylinder FPT engine with 3.4 l cubic capacity and two valves per cylinder runs very smoothly and features a turbocharger, charge-air cooling, external exhaust gas recirculation and a common rail injection system. Thanks to its particulate filter, the ELIOS complies with the Stage IIIB (Tier 4i) emissions standard. All the exhaust gas aftertreatment components are housed under the bonnet so that they do not obstruct the view from the cab. Thanks to CPM (CLAAS POWER MANAGEMENT) the new ELIOS 240 delivers a boost of up to 11 hp during PTO work and transport work from 13 km/h. It is therefore ideal for hauling bigger trailers and for use with wider forage harvesting machinery. Despite its very compact format, the ELIOS 240 has a highly impressive maximum output of 103 hp, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The ELIOS comes with a range of PTO options. These include a ground PTO and a 540 ECO PTO with reduced engine speed for low diesel consumption and low noise levels during light PTO work. With the option of up to three hydraulic pumps and a hydraulic output of 85 l/min at the spool valves and rear linkage, the ELIOS opens up a whole range of new possibilities. For added convenience and greater precision the ELIOS can optionally be fitted with up to four electronic spool valves, two of which are controlled by the ELECTROPILOT. Thanks to the REVERSHIFT clutchless reverser you can almost forget the clutch pedal: the clutch button on the shift lever offers numerous advantages, especially during transport work. REVERSHIFT also enables you to change direction quickly and smoothly particularly important when working with a front loader. 1 Except ELIOS 240 6

8 Everything in view, everything to hand. Welcome to the ELIOS cab. The wide-opening door, comfortable handles and self-cleaning step provide easy access to the cab, while a range of seat and steering wheel adjustment options guarantee a comfortable working environment for every driver. The overall cab ergonomics and outstanding all-round visibility allow the driver to relax and concentrate fully throughout long working days, and the air-suspended seat and air conditioning system ensure a high level of comfort. Clearly identified controls mean that the ELIOS can be operated intuitively, even by different drivers. The TCE 6 electronic rear linkage control system is available for maximum precision and greater convenience. To protect the driver during crop spraying applications, an active carbon filter can be installed at the factory instead of the conventional cab filter. The new FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure) glass roof provides a clear view of the front loader.
