2 HP-4 Recessed with Regressed Visible Flange /Independent Step 6 (provided) Connector 1/4"-20 Threaded Rod 1/4"-20 Nut ALTERNATE MOUNTING OPTION Screw 1/4"-20 Washer 1/4"-20 Nut Screw Secure to structure by installing 1/4" washers and 1/4"-20 nuts onto 1/4"-20 threaded rod. ALTERNATE MOUNTING OPTION: Install screw through mounting hole into proper structurally supported blocking. Step 7 Step 8 Step 9 Make wire connections and secure trap door with screw (provided). On opposite end of luminaire, fold trap door down. Install 1/4"-20 nut and 1/4" washer onto 1/4"-20 threaded rod or use ALTERNATE MOUNTING OPTION in step 6. Replace trap door and fasten with screws (provided). Reinstall diffuser and turn power on. Plug-Together Wiring Connect plug-together wiring. Slide joiner luminaire against starter luminaire Be careful not to damage any wiring. 2

5 HP-4 Recessed with Regressed Visible Flange Step 10 IMPORTANT STEP #8-18 x 1/2" Combo Hex Screw (provided) End Brackets Step 11 Joiner 1/4"-20 Nut 1/4"-20 Washer IMPORTANT STEP: Install the two #8-18 x 1/2" combo hex screws (provided) into end bracket as shown. Screws can be installed from the left or right. CAUTION: Do not over-tighten. On opposite end of luminaire, fold trap door down. Install 1/4" washer and 1/4"-20 nut onto 1/4"-20 threaded rod or use ALTERNATE MOUNTING OPTION in step 6. Replace trap door and fasten with Step 12 s Reinstall diffusers to starter and joiner/enders and turn power on to luminaire. NOTE: If part of a longer run, diffuser will be reinstalled back into original luminaire section as lengths vary. 3
