1 V E T I A T I O Supply / Extract Units Installation and Maintenance E IMPORTAT: Installation replacement of units spare parts must be carried out by a qualified Domus approved service engineer/ electrician and in accdance with IEE local national wiring regulations. 2.0 Introduction The Domus DX Window Fan Kit is available in 6, 9 and 12 inch impeller sizes suitable f supply extract and can be the heart of a room s automatic ventilation system. Fan plate assembly Inside grille 272mm 2.2 Senss Senss are available as remote units integral plug in units. They are able to control multiple fans, depending on sens and fan types. Integral senss are quick and easy to install and are aesthetically pleasing, whilst remote senss give the benefit of location close to the pollutant source. Remote senss can be fitted with an optional security strap to prevent unwanted tampering. 2. General The removable interi grille provides easy access while the external rot mot makes f simple removal of the push-on impeller f cleaning. Upward angled interi grille vanes shield wkings from view and downward sloping external vanes throw off rain. The fan is IP2 splash proof approved with the mot rated at IP. This should be checked during commissioning with all fans in the same room running together in all possible configurations. The automatic shutters, mot bearings should be frequently inspected and maintained to ensure they open fully/operate satisfactily. 8 V E T I A T I O 6.0 Ancillaries Glass Weather Terminal Main Window fan kit Weather Terminal Used f exposed site wall installations, comprising one weather terminal, manufactured from HIPS. Order Code DX-WT6 Dimensions: 60 x 60 x 170mm The Weather terminal unit replaces the outside grille and is supplied with installation details. Order Code DX-WT9 Dimensions: 2 x 2 x 180mm Wall Fixing Plate The Wall Fixing Plate is used f thin wall and above ceiling applications, to suppt the fan assembly. Order Code DX-WT12 Dimensions: 06 x 06 x 18mm 7.0 Maintenance Periodically, at least once a year me frequently in case of heavy use, remove the dirt and encrustation from the grille(s) fan impeller and mot casing. Ensure the impeller is not cracked defmed and is able to rotate freely and without oscillation. Do not use any solvents to clean this product. 8.0 Replacement Of Parts As a manufacturer Domus is aware that time is imptant. In the event of a breakdown of this equipment, it should be adequately packaged and returned to Domus. Please telephone Domus befe posting your unit. A returns number will be issued to identify your package. We will endeavour to repair replace it within five wking days of receipt. See our warranty terms. 9.0 Warranty The 2 year warranty starts from the day of deli very and includes parts and labour f the first year. The remaining period covers replacement parts only. This warranty is void if the equipment is modified without authisation, is increctly applied, misused, disassembled, not installed, commissioned and maintained in accdance with the details contained in this manual and general good practice. The product warranty applies to the UK mainland and in accdance with Clause 1 of our Conditions of Sale.
