1 Supply / Extract Units 1.0 Safety Infmation IMPORTAT: Installation replacement of units spare parts must be carried out by a qualified Domus approved service engineer/ electrician and in accdance with IEE local national wiring regulations. 2.0 Introduction The Domus DX Ceiling Fan Kit is available in 6, 9 and 12 inch impeller sizes suitable f supply extract. Ensure adequate air replacement f the fan and any fuel burning appliance in the room. Figure 1. Main components of ceiling installation assembly. Front View 2.2 Senss Senss are available as remote units integral plug in units. They are able to control multiple fans, depending on sens and fan types. Integral senss are quick and easy to install and are aesthetically pleasing, whilst remote senss give the benefit of location close to the pollutant source. Remote senss can be fitted with an optional security strap to prevent unwanted tampering. 2. General The removable interi grille provides easy access while the external rot mot makes f simple removal of the push-on impeller f cleaning. Upward angled interi grille vanes shield wkings from view. The fan is IP2 splash proof approved with the mot rated at IP. Fan casing, impeller and shutter shall be manufactured from UV stabilised ABS polymer. This avoids the possibility of one fan (if speed controlled at a lower flow rate) being stalled by the other fan(s). Adequate make-up air provision sufficient to provide ventilation in accdance with building regulations is required in all rooms. This should be checked during commissioning with all fans in the same room running together in all possible configurations. The automatic shutters, mot bearings should be frequently inspected and maintained to ensure they open fully/operate satisfactily. Use of an RCD and fused spur with 1A, Bussmann TDC180, BS162, fuse (Farnell der no: ) f 1 fan 2A, Bussmann TDC180, BS162 fuse (Farnell der no: 11202) f 2 fans is recommended. 8 DX Ceiling Fan Kit 0Hz/ 60Hz 7.0 Maintenance Periodically, at least once a year me frequently in case of heavy use, remove the dirt and encrustation from the grille(s) fan impeller and mot casing. Ensure the impeller is not cracked defmed and is able to rotate freely and without oscillation. Do not use any solvents to clean this product. 8.0 Replacement Of Parts As a manufacturer Domus is aware that time is imptant. In the event of a breakdown of this equipment, it should be adequately packaged and returned to Domus. Please telephone Domus befe posting your unit. A returns number will be issued to identify your package 9.0 Warranty The 2 year warranty starts from the day of delivery and includes parts and labour f the first year. The remaining period covers replacement parts only. This warranty is void if the equipment is modified without authisation, is increctly applied, misused, disassembled, not installed, commissioned and maintained in accdance with the details contained in this manual and general good practice.
