No. 54J less n1aintenance for years to con1e A ONE-PIECE, SEMI-STEEL FRAMES One-piece, semi-steel frames are stress-engineered so that heavy ribbing is placed where it can most effectively minimize deflection. Unusually heavy proportioning of these frames dampen vibration and resist shock for an unlimited number of strokes. 8 CRANKSHAFTS One-piece, heat treated, precision ground crankshafts are designed in two styles. The crankshaft at the top is used for Multi power and Electromatic clutches and the other is used on Pin and Electro! clutch models. C CONNECTING ROD ASSEMBLY Larger components, top grade materials, chrome plated connecting rod screw and nut typify the quality in Famco presses. 0 RAM AND GIB The extra large ram area, with its breech block shank holder, provides maximum die support. Long heavy gib ways and precision bored shank hole assures accurate die alignment. [ FLYWHEEL Famco's precision balanced flywheel rotates smoothly on Timken roller bearings. These roller bearings are used on all 10, 13 and 18 ton presses. The 5 and ton Famco presses have bronze bearings in the flywheel. 3

This is a manually actuated clutch. A handy fingertip lever"a" shown above-enables the operator to change from single to continuous stroke quickly- and easily. This highly efficient clutch requires fewer parts and less maintenance. Available on Famco's 5, and 10 ton presses. The one-piece flywheel clutch platean exclusive Famco feature and shown in the inset above-greatly reduces clutch pin breakage. ELECTROL CLUTCH. The Electro! Clutch is a solenoid actuated pin clutch. It is easy to operate and reduces operator fatigue. Both buttons must be worked simultaneously, thus keeping the operator's hands out of the die area. It has a fingertip lever adjustment that makes changing from single to continuous stroke easy. Available as "E" Models on Famco 5 and ton presses. A foot switch can be furnished instead of a hand switch at no extra charge.

This mechanically operated, ruggedly designed 9-point jaw clutch gives greater engagement speed so necessary for today's automated feeding processes. It has a minimum number of working partsall hardened for longer life. This quality clutch enables you to consistently produce more pieces per hour. Furnished as standard equipment on all Famco "J" model 10, 13 and 18 ton presses. ELECTROMATIC CLUTCH. Here is a 9-point, electrically operated, jaw clutch that is the most advanced small power press clutch of its kind available today. As shown on the inset photograph, single stroke, continuous operation or an inoperative neutral position are obtained merely by the adjustment of the selector switch. Electrical actuation reduces operator fatigue and increases productive efficiency. Dual push buttons, in place of foot switch are available at no extra cost. Furnished as standard equipment on all Famco "E" model 10, 13 and 18 ton presses. PNEUMATIC FRICTION CLUTCH and BRAKE. This new, exceptionally low priced air clutch is the result of Famco's continuing research and development program. This high torque, low inertia unit is selfcompensating to allow for wear of the friction surfaces. The clutch and brake interact so that air line or power failure stop the press instantly. The clutch disengagement point (and brake engagement) in the stroke is conveniently adjustable by the operator to provide for varying energy requirements and die weights encountered on different jobs. This low maintenance clutch and brake available on Famco, 10, 13 and 18 ton presses. 5
