1 Input (Nominal): 90 Vac to 264 Vac (Autoranging) Output (Nominal): -48 Vdc (up to 28.8 A) and Optional 50 VA Ringing Generator The low-maintenance, outside-plant CPS2000 (Cabinet Power System) integrates advanced technology in a modular system with multiple shelf configurations for 480 mm (19 in.), 584 mm (23 in.), and optional ETSI mounting adapters. The CPS2000 is ideally suited for today s fast-growing remote telecom applications, particularly those in harsh environments. Wide Temperature Range The CPS2000 is a high-reliability system incorporating temperature hardened-electronics. It is suited for use in remote applications at an extremely wide temperature range, 40 C to +75 C ( 40 F to +167 F) with fan-assisted cooling, or 40 C to +50 C ( 40 F to +122 F) with natural convection cooling. Multiple Outputs The multiple power bus architecture supports applications requiring 48 V and ringing voltage, which can eliminate the need for separate power plants. Multiple Configurations Both shelf assemblies are available in the following configurations: Ringer-only plant with up to six 50 VA outputs The single-shelf assembly, equipped with plug-in modules, is 133 mm (5.25 in. or 3U) high and 305 mm (12 in. deep, and can accommodate the following: 540 W nominal 48 V, 7.2 A rectifier 50 VA, 100, 80, 75 Vrms and 20 Hz or 25 Hz ringing generators (half-width power module) Monitor and Control Unit (MCU) or Alarm and Control Unit (ACU) Low voltage battery disconnect/reconnect contactor Slope-compensated thermal management Applications Digital loop carrier Fiber to the curb Remote switching cabinets Ringing plant for co-location sites Wireless base stations Rectifier plant with four power module positions Ringer-rectifier plant with up to three rectifiers and two ringing generators

ES460C provides adjustable output voltage over the range of 48 V to 56 V at 7.2 A. Model ES461A operates from a nominal 200 Vac, 208 Vac, 220 Vac, and 240 Vac soure. ES461A provides adjustable output voltage over the range of 48V to 56V at 9.5A. Both rectifiers provide highly regulated, low-noise power for the system loads and for charging the system batteries. Ringer Generator Operates at 50 VA using the output of the rectifiers or the system batteries. o Model ES421A 100 Vrms/20Hz o Model ES Vrms/25Hz Monitor and Control Unit Model ES446A MCU provides display of primary output voltage and current, output alarms, plant battery voltage control, thermal management, and alarm LEDs. Provides slope thermal compensation for battery charging voltage. For battery temperatures above 25 C, the charging voltage is reduced by 72 mv/ C. 3 Alarm and Control Unit Economical alternative to MCU provides plant alarm and control functions; Model ES447 ACU provides test points for reading and adjusting plant voltage. The ringer only shelf utilizes the ES490 control unit. Output Distribution Includes primary and secondary output distribution built into the shelf. The 23 in. shelf output distribution section houses the low battery-voltage disconnect/reconnect contactor, connection for thermal probes, battery connection points, and optional battery disconnect switches. Fourteen GMT-type fuse outputs are available on the primary bus. Nine of the outputs are connectorized and rated for up to 10 A each and the other five terminal block outputs are rated for up to 15 A each. The 19 in. shelf output distribution section provides either a bulk output or seven connectorized, GMT fused outputs on the primary bus and connectorized output on the secondary bus. The ringer-only shelf provides six connectorized ringer outputs. A distribution panel can be ordered for GMT-type fuses. The ED supports dual, isolated power buses up to 12 fuse-protected outputs per bus.
