1 John Deere 30 Series Seat Well Extension Kit for tractors with 7 1/2 wide seat well Installation Instructions to Replace a JD Deluxe Seat Suspension with a 402 Uni Pro Seat and Air Suspension in an Early 30 Series Row CropTractor with Sound-Gard Cab 1. Remove old seat and suspension. 2. Cut out 4 1/2 of the cab metal from the left side of the existing seat well cavity. (Use of a Sawzall is recommended.) 3. Place the SWEK into the opening from the bottom side and fasten with sheet metal screws. Use a 5/32 drill bit for the holes. 4. Proceed with installation page 2. SWEK PN : 6052 page 1

For models with the slanted front section on the seat well, bolt the PED JD W43A plate to the bottom of the PED JD W43 with two 5/16 x 3/4 carriage bolts and flange nuts. 3 with a 402 Uni Pro Seat and Air Suspension in an Early 30 Series Row Crop Tractor with Sound-Gard Cab 8mm x 12mm Bolts 1. Bolt the slide rails to the suspension with four 8mm x 12mm bolts. The slide rail lever must be assembled on the left side of the seat and suspension. Note: Use Slide Rails PN:6048 that were shipped with. Remove and discard slide rails attached to seat bottom. page 3

4 5/16 X 3/4 FLAT HEAD SOCKET CAP SCREWS 5/16-18 JAM NUT 1. Bolt the 6080 SAP to the slide rails with four 5/16 x 3/4 flat head socket cap screws, and 5/16 jam nuts. Place three washers in between the slide rails and SAP 6080, one on each bolt. Two on the right slide rail and one on the rear hole of the left slide rail to allow the SAP 6080 to sit level. Bolt the suspension to the W43 pedestal with four 5/16 x 3/4 bolts, small spacer bushings and lock nuts. The small spacer bushings go in between the W43 pedestal and the suspension. You will have to unhook the rubber boot from the bottom of the suspension to get inside and fasten the nuts. Use the two holes on the W43A or W43B plate (which ever one is installed) as a guide and drill through the cab platform. Secure which ever plate is installed to the cab deck with two 5/16 x 3/4 bolts and flange nuts. 5/16x 18 x 3/4 Hex Bolt 5/16 x 18 Flange Nut page 6

7 OPTIONAL SWIVEL INSTALLATION (If no swivel continue to page 8.) with a 402 Uni Pro Seat and Air Suspension in an Early 30 Series Row Crop Tractor with Sound-Gard Cab 1. Install the Grammer Swivel. This can be installed two different ways. The lock lever can be installed to the front or rear left of the seat. If you plan on locking the swivel to move freely it is recommended to install the lever to the rear left. When the lever is installed to the front left and locked out, it can hit the tractor seat platform when driving on rough terrain (depending on where the seat is located fore and aft). 1A. Place the swivel onto the SAP If you are installing the swivel lock lever to the front left the square part of the swivel will go against the SAP For the lock lever to the rear left, place the rectangular side of the swivel against the SAP The swivel should be centered side to side and the front edge should be close to flush with the SAP Locate the four mounting holes and break the plastic knockouts from the swivel. Fasten the swivel down using four 5/16 x 5/8 socket head cap screws, lockwashers, and jam nuts. The lock washer goes on the screw first, then through the swivel and SAP 6080 with the jam nut on the bottom. Remove the seat cushion by removing the two screws from the bottom front of the seat. Place the seat onto the swivel. NOTE: If the swivel was installed with the lock lever to the front left, you will have to place the 5/16 x 1 1/8 flat bar that came with the swivel onto the rear channel of the swivel plate. Center the seat so that two front holes and two rear holes line up. Remove the plastic knockouts from the swivel where the seat holes line up. NOTE: If the lock lever on the swivel is on the front left, the rear seat holes will line up with the holes on the flat bar. Fasten the seat down using two 5/16 x 5/8 socket head screws and flange nuts on the front. If the swivel lock lever was installed to the front left, use two 5/16 x 1 flat head socket cap screws and flange nuts on the rear two holes. If the swivel lock lever was installed to the rear left, use another two 5/16 x 5/8 socket head cap screwsand flange nuts. Tighten all hardware. 2. Reinstall the seat cushion. 3. Remove the slide rails that are atached to the seat bottom. 2. Install the seat. Place the seat onto the swivel. Use two 5/16-18x1 Flat Head Socket Cap Screws and two 5/16-18 Flange Nuts in the front and two 5/16-18x5/8 Socket Head Cap Screws and Flange Nuts in the rear. 3. Reinstall the seat cushion. 4.
