Be sure to leave them with the owner when installation is complete. ADDED WEIGHT Curtis Cabs, blades and general accessories add additional weight to the base vehicle. All Curtis accessory weights are listed in product brochures. Deduct the accessories total weight from the vehicles rated capacity and never exceed the vehicles rated capacity including driver and passenger. Never operate vehicle if suspicious of Carbon Monoxide. Inspect exhaust system for leaks monthly. Leaks can result from loose connections, corrosion, cracks or other damage to the exhaust manifold. Leave all bolts loose for later adjustment, unless otherwise specified. B. Read and understand all instructions before beginning. C. Plastic washers have been supplied to provide a weather seal around all exterior fasteners. The plastic washer should be installed under each bolt head directly against the outside cab surface. Care should be taken not to over-tighten the fasteners and damage the plastic washer. D. Apply a clear silicone sealant to seal any minor gaps that may occur due to vehicle variances. For example, between the windshield and roof corners. TOOLS REQUIRED: A. Set of standard and metric sockets and wrenches B. Flat head screw driver C. Phillips head screw driver D. Level E. 3 VEHICLE PREP: NOTE: if installed with snowblower, you must have the remote chute control from Kubota. A: Remove and discard the grab handles from the rear fenders (retain the hardware). B: Remove the radiator-battery cover from the tractor. Unbolt and remove the floorboard plate from under the radiator-battery cover so that the radiator can draw air in from under the floor when the radiator blanket is installed. Install the radiator blanket with supplied velcro as shown. NOTE: The radiator blanket is designed to keep the radiator from drawing warm air out of the cab in the winter. It is recommended that the blanket be removed on hot summer days. C: Remove the plastic push pins from the front and rear corners of the rubber floor mat and drill the holes in the floorpan out to 3/8 diameter. D: Remove the 2 bolts at the front corners of the tractor floorpan and retain for installation of the front legs. STEP 1: REAR LEG & REAR PANEL ASSEMBLY (Optional on Soft Sided cabs) A: Place the rear panel down on a soft surface. Bolt left & right rear legs to rear panel with 5/16 x 3/4 carriage bolts. NOTE: Angled flanges on rear legs fit outside rear panel. B: Place rear leg and rear panel assembly onto tractor fenders as shown. STEP 2: SIDE FRAME INSTALLATION A: On 1800 and 2200 models, install one rubber bushing over each of the four grab handle studs in the rear fenders. On 1500 models, install three bushings per stud. B: Remove doors from side frames by opening doors and lifting off of the hinge pins. C: Install 1-1/2 arch PSA from hardware kit onto inside of frame fender tubes.position right side frame over grab handle studs. Loosely bolt side frame floorboard to tractor floorpan with 5/16 x 1 carriage bolt, rubber bushing, fender washer & nylon lock nut. D: Repeat for left side. E: Tilt seat forward and remove fuel tank cap from tractor. Position the fuel filler over the neck of the fuel tank and loosely install carriage bolt from inside of fuel filler to right side frame. On 1800 and 2200 models, install rubber bushings over grab handle studs. On all models, loosely install hardware removed in vehicle prep Step A. F: Remove rubber from hole in remaining fuel filler and install 1 round side bulb from hardware kit around hole. Install in same manner as previous filler. Arch PSA Rev. D, p. 3 of 8

4 Step 8: FILLERS AND FINISHING TOUCHES A: Tip the seat forward and install the rear filler as shown. The top of the filler attaches with Velcro to the rear panel or curtain and the bottom tucks into place under the fuel tank. B: Tighten all hardware. C: Install the left and right doors onto the side frames. On all-steel doors, install the gas springs as shown with the rod end attached to the door. PERIODIC MAINTENANCE A: RE-TIGHTEN ALL BOLTS AFTER 40 HOURS OF OPERATION AND PERIODICALLY THEREAFTER. B: Clear vinyl can be easily scratched. - Be careful cleaning frost or snow from windows. - Do not roll curtains in cold weather. - Keep windows clean. Rev. D, p. 6 of 8

5 STEP 3: WINDSHIELD TOP A: Place windshield top over tabs on side frames. Install 5/16 x 3/4 carriage bolts into lower tabs and slots in upper tabs that face the operator s seat. NOTE: Do not install bolts into top of upper tabs until roof is installed. Line up sides of windshield top with radius on outside edges of the side frame tubes. Tighten the hardware. B: (Optional rear panel) Install 5/16 x 3/4 carriage bolts in the lower 2 holes of each rear leg. Line up radius of side frame tubes with sides of rear legs and tighten hardware. STEP 4: FRONT LEGS & COWL A: Install left & right front legs to tractor floorpan with hardware removed in vehicle prep Step D. Line up sides of legs with radius on side frame tubes and attach to side frames with 5/16 x 3/4 carriage bolts. B: The front cowl is held in position by locator pins into tabs on the side frames and holes in the left front leg. Place the cowl into position. If installing on a tractor without a loader, or on a tractor where the loader valve stays on the tractor when the loader is removed, then the cowl can be bolted to the side frame tabs with 5/16 x 3/4 carriage bolts. C: Install the loader filler by snapping it into place on the cowl and right front leg. The flap on the filler rolls up and stores on top of the loader valve. LOADER REMOVAL: For loaders where the loader valve is removed with the loader, the loader can be removed by the following steps. Disonnect the windshield latches, open the windshield and remove the cowl. Remove the loader as directed by loader instructions. CAUTION: Always watch for interference between loader valve and bottom edge of windshield when backing tractor away from loader. Differences in terrain may cause the glass to contact the loader valve. Once the loader is removed, the cowl and windshield latches MUST be re-installed. CAUTION: Operating the tractor with the windshield in the fully open position may break the windshield and cause injury. The windshield latches allow the windshield to be partially open for ventilation. Rev. D, p. 4 of 8

6 STEP 5: WINDSHIELD A: Have an assistant help hold the windshield in position and attach hinges to windshield top using 5/16-18 x 1-3/4 FH machine screws, hinge spacers, washers and nylon lock nuts. Snug hardware but do not tighten. B: Install the windshield latches to the receivers on the cowl. Lift up on the bottom of the windshield while closing the latches. Make sure the windshield is centered left to right and tighten the hinge hardware. C: Have an assistant hold the windshield open and install gas springs to windshield and side frame brackets with the rods pointing down. Step 6: ROOF A: Install the roof to the side frames, windshield top and rear leg and rear panel assembly with 5/16 x 3/4 carriage bolts. NOTE: If you have a soft sided cab without the optional rear panel, install the two soft side braces from the second hole from the corner in the rear of the roof to the second tab from the top of each side frame with 5/16 x 3/4 carriage bolts. Brace goes inside the roof and on the outside of the frame tab. Step 7: SOFT SIDE REAR AND SIDE CURTAINS A: Snap the rear curtain in place to the inside of the roof. The sides of the curtain wrap around the side frames and velcro to the inside of the rear tube from the top down to the fillers. The bottom of the sides velcro to the outside of the tube. On 1800 and 2200 models, the bottom of the curtain attaches to the tractor with Velcro as shown. B: Pull the curtain tight against the rubber seal on the fuel fillers and attach the flap with Velcro. C: Install the top and sides of each side curtain to the inside of the frame with Velcro as shown. The bottom of the curtain velcros to the outside of the side frames. Rev. D, p.5 of 8
