It is proposed to hold a selection for the following vacancies of Ex-cadre posts of Instructors at STC, IRIEEN, Nasik-Road. SN Cadre Grade (Rs.) Vacancies Stream 1 Senior Instructor PB-2 + GP TRS /TRD /GS /TLAC 2 Junior Instructor PB-2 + GP TRS /TRD /GS /TLAC Eligibility Conditions for Sr. Instructor 1 Working in TRS including EMU, MEMU/ TL & AC and OSM Groups/ TRD (PSI / OHE) of Electrical Department in PB-2 + GP 4600 / Level 7 as per VII CPC with minimum 02 years regular service in the Grade. Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with minimum 02 years working experience OR Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with minimum 05 years of working experience. Eligibility Conditions for Jr. Instructor 1 Working in TRS including EMU, MEMU/ TL & AC and OSM Groups/ TRD (PSI / OHE) of Electrical Department in PB-2 + GP 4200 / Level 6 as per VII CPC with minimum 02 years regular service in the Grade. Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with minimum 02 years working experience OR Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with minimum 05 years of working experience.

2 Other Conditions (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) (g) (h) The employee should not be above the age of 52 years as on the date of Notification. Selected employees will not be allowed to decline the posting. The lien of selected employees will be maintained in their parent cadre. There will be no further avenue of promotion at STC, IRIEEN, NK & will seek promotion as per lien/ seniority maintained in parent cadre. Preference will be given to employees having knowledge of Electronics as well as various Computer Technical Programming and Applications. The selection will consist of written test followed by viva-voce and perusal of records of service of the employees who qualify in the Written Test. The panel will be drawn in the order of merit. The selected candidates are eligible for Teaching Allowance as per the rate prescribed by Rly. Board time to time. Working of regenerative feature. 8 ii) General electrical technology :- Theory of single phase & 3-phase electric circuit, DC electric circuit theory, range accuracy procedure frequency of calibration & use of Ammeter, Voltmeter, Multimeter torque tester, Meggar earth resistance tester, Vernier caliper tachometer. iii) Energy conservation: - Overview of energy saving options in non-traction application, energy audit knowledge of alternative sources of energy and their application. iv) Maintenance schedule and overhauling of TL/AC alternator, regulator under stung and on board invertors flooded & VRLA batteries bels protective devices in power panels of TL/AC coach. v) Construction detail principle of working and maintenance schedule of conventional airconditioning and roof mounted air-condition plant in coach. vi) Different types of batteries of coaches, charging of different types of batteries ingredients of electrolyte. vii) Commissioning and testing of TL/AC coach s procedure of testing of generating equipment testing of AC plant and electrical testing of non-ac coaches knowledge of description and contents of SMIs modification and technical circular connected to TL/AC coaches. viii) Safety, First Aid and firefighting knowledge of safety rules, safety precautions to be taken while handling electrical equipment, preventive measures to avoid electrical accidents, type of firefighting equipment and their application, electrical shock treatment measure. ix) LHB AC & Non-AC Coaches, Power Cars, Pantry Cars, EOG, HOG. x) Relevant codes, RDSO, SMIs and Modification. xi) Any new topic relevant to TL/AC.
