They have signed deals with DB Schenker & Jarvis Fastline to produce models in their livery Class 66 DB Schenker. Livery red body with red & yellow ends & white lettering & grey lower body stripe. DB Schenker is the new owners of EWS & is based in Doncaster. Period Class 66 Jarvis Fastline. TECHNICAL DETAILS DCC NEM DL P A LIGHT BAR Popular in European & Japanese models is interior lighting. Dapol are releasing a lighting bar to fit the following coaches class 156, MK3 & Collett GWR coaches. They will be DCC compatible. Two versions will be released. 1. NC-040A Light bar white 2. NC-040B light bar yellow Each bar features 6 Yellow or white Led s on a printed circuit board witch pick up current from the coach bogies. They can be used on DCC layouts with the use of a lighting chip. TEAK GRESLEYS Dapol have released three versions of their Gresley coaches in LNER teak livery. To allow modellers to extend the recent LNER Football book packs. They are. NC-044 first class NC-045 first / third composite NC-046 All third 384 Period 3. Also released but not listed in the Dapol catalogue is a leak liveried buffet car. These coaches feature revised bogie centres & NEM couplings. Dapol will release other running numbers in 2009 & 2010 if there s a demand. GWR COLLET COACHES He Collet coaches are returning in GWR livery. Three versions are being released. They are. NC composite coach. Livery GWR chocolate & cream with GWR crest & shirt button badge in centre of coach. NC brake coach. 7 ND-074C ND-074D All models will feature shinny chrome finish bodies hence the name. They will also feature a number of etched brass parts. These wagons can be seen the length & breath of the UK & even in Europe. Period 9. MEGAFRET LOW RIDING INTERMODEL WAGONS. Dapol are releasing these distinctive wagons. Notable for there low riding capabilities they are capable of handling the new 9 6 maritime containers. They can be seen throughout the UK & across Europe Four running numbers will be released. They are. 1. NB-076A P 2. NB-076B NB-076C NB-076D P These wagons feature ultra small wheels as per the prototype. The accessories bag contains spare prototypical drawbar coupling and optional Knuckle couplings. To compliment the new Megafret intermodal wagons Dapol are releasing the following containers. NB-067B Tesco Stobart 06 NB-067C Tesco Stobart 10 NB-067D Tesco Stobart 17 NB-067E Tesco Stobart 21 Dapol will also be releasing 45ft high cube containers product code NB-077. Livery details & numbers not released yet. TELESCOPIC HOODWAGONS. Four new running numbers are planned for the VTG ferrywagon Steel coil wagons. They are. 1. NB-075A VTG NB-075B VTG NB-075C VTG NB-075D VTG Livery silver body with blue band with black VTG lettering & logo. These wagons are now owned by Tiphook Rail Period 8. DAPOLS MAGNIFICENT SEVERN. Dapol announced the following additional 7 new locomotives at there open day last year. For the benefit of anyone who missed this press release. I have included them here with Dapols press release. Dapol state that Whilst it is possible to release ALL these models within a 12 month period we have decided to complete the models to a ready to build standard (tooling finished, 1 st samples made, painted and tested) and release them as circumstances dictate (being wary of the economy, other manufacturer s announcements etc). 8 This will allow Dapol to release models with a days notice should the market or other announcements warrant it. Otherwise they will drip feed models into the market over the next 24 months. Announcing availability via there website. The new models are. 1. Virgin Pendolino High Speed Electric Train (4 car book set) Extra coaches will be released nearer to the release of the four car pack. The model will feature a tilting mechanism if it does not affect the models performance. 2. Class 153 Single unit sprinter. This model is at the cam/cad development stage and has mentioned in a previous issue looks superb 3. Class43 HST power cars. These models will feature working directional lighting. Both original & rebuilt exhausts & close coupling to match the soon to be released MK3 coaches. 4. LNER/BR classb This model will feature similar specifications to the award winning class B17 footballer. 5. BR class56 CO-CO Diesel. The first model will represent the Romanian built examples. With Doncaster & Crewe Examples to follow 6. GWR/BR class38xx Heavy goods engine. This is the version with the windows in the cab side. 7. Class 26/0 BO-BO diesel.
