The evolution of the Turf AerWay includes a new frame style and the addition of the ballast tank as standard. One unique feature is same sized rollers with different tines are interchangeable on the same size AerWay. The Turf AerWay comes in various sizes, starting at 45 up to 90. Each Turf AerWay can be supplied with Shattertines, Sportstines, Finetines, Super Finetines, or Coring Tines, depending on your application.

5 The 60 3-point Turf AerWay The Pull Type Turf AerWay The Turf AerWay s are built with hollow structural steel, one piece welded construction. The roller shafts are 3 in diameter. The unit includes 35mm greaseable, sealed pillow block bearings. Each Turf AerWay can be supplied with Shattertines, Sportstines, Finetines, Super Finetines, or Coring Tines, depending on your application. The drawbars available for the pull type AerWay are straight clevis, ball hitch and gooseneck. The drawbar height is adjustable. Hydraulics: 12 Stroke double acting cylinder with mechanical lockout. 2 bore on the 45, 60 and 75 units, 2 ½ bore on the 90 unit. The larger Turf AerWay s (60, 75 or 90 ) can have two roller shafts which, when equipped with the Shattertine, can be offset to 2.5 or 5 swing angle for more tillage action. 5

6 Turf AerWay Model System The following example is a 90 Turf AerWay, pull type, Sportstines on 5 spacing, with ballast tank and Greens Express smoothing roller. This will help you identify or create a model number. A W G H P S 5 D B G Position #: Position 1: AW Stands for AerWay. All of the AerWay models start with these letters. Position 2: This position is either a P for Pull Type, or a 3 for 3 point. Position 3: This position tells you what size the machine is. In this case, it is a 90 model. Position 4: This position will tell you how many roller shafts are on this unit. Position 5: This position will tell you what type of tine is on the unit. In this case, it is a Sportstine. T: Turf Shattertine S: Sportstine C: Coring Tine F: Finetine U: Super Finetine Position 6: This position designates the spacing of the tine. In this case, it is 5 spacing. Please be aware that the Shattertine can only be mounted with 7.5 spacing (shown as 7 in this position). Position 7: This position designates the Drawbar type. The D designates the drawbar type. Left blank, it would be a 3 point hitch mount. N would be a Gooseneck, or the T would be a ball coupler. Position 8: The B designates that this unit has a Ballast tank. Position 9: The G designates that this unit has a Greens Express smoothing roller installed. 6

The unique angles and offsets of the Shattertine crack and shatter the compacted soil 6 and deeper. The results are improved soil air/water balance, increased microbial activity, and better fertilizer usage. Only patented AerWay Shattertines lift and fracture tough soil to increase air, water and nutrient movement. The Sportstine The Sportstine is a forged, 6 long, heavy-duty aeration tine for use on golf course fairways, sports fields and all large areas of maintained turf grass.

Use of the Sportstine is fast, effective and economical. It can even be used mid-season when the need is the greatest and the window of opportunity exists. Available in 5 or 7.5 spacing. Using the Sportstine will not take the course or field out of play and there is no clean up required. 12 The Finetine The AerWay Finetine is a 6 forged tine specifically developed for use on golf course greens, tees and all fine turf areas. Use of the Finetine is fast and effective. In combination with the Greens Express Smoothing Roller, the variable depth feature allows you to fine tune your maintenance program. Available in 5 or 7.5 spacing. Using the Finetine will not take your greens out of play and there is no clean up required. The fast venting action of the Finetine allows you to aerate 18 greens in about 3 hours. The Super Finetine The AerWay Super Finetine provides venting aeration through the thatch layer and maintains infiltration rates between verticutting and coring treatments on the greens.

There is no disruption of play when it is used in conjunction with the smoothing roller. The Super Finetine is available with tines as close as 3 x 3 centers and it can be retrofitted on any turf AerWay frame. The Super Finetine gives you the ability to manage your thatch. The AerWay Super Finetine penetrates through the thatch layer up to 2 deep, leaving an opening for water and nutrient to penetrate into the soil. The Coring Tine The AerWay Coring Tine is a 4 inch long, ¾ inch diameter, heavy walled tine. They are available on 4, 5 and 6 centers. These rollers can be fitted on any turf AerWay frame.

16 The Coring Tine The AerWay Coring Tine is a 4 inch long, ¾ inch diameter, heavy walled tine. They are available on 4, 5 and 6 centers. These rollers can be fitted on any turf AerWay frame. AerWay Coring Tine can be run at the same speed as your mowing equipment, making short work of dethatching and soil preparation for topdressing and overseeding. There are 6 tines per row and each hub operates independently for smooth operation. Optimum penetration is assured by ballasting the AerWay frame. 20 Weld-On Tine Rollers Pre 1992 AerWay Models: Prior to 1992, the rollers had welded on tines. These rollers are no longer in production but they are replaceable with bolt-on tine style rollers. Have your model number ready and call for upgrade part numbers and pricing. 20

For tractors that are not equipped with hydraulic outlets a power pack can be added to pull type Turf AerWay s to provide hydraulic lift ability. The controls give power up and power down operation. The power pack includes 12v motor, pump, reservoir and an umbilical cord to reach the tractor and provide up and down push button control. The power pack is supplied without battery and without oil. (Power Pack will take up to two batteries) All components are enclosed in a weather resistant enclosure. The power pack bolts to the tongue and has couplers to connect to the quick disconnects on the hydraulic hoses. 22
