34 TxDOT Statewide Impact of Oil & Gas Development on Texas Highways TxDOT s Maintenance Division (Jenny Li and Magdy Mikhail) developed a worksheet to estimate pavement design traffic value increases Estimated 27,456 18KESALs per well over a 20 year design period based on Barnett Shale activity (pipelines). Estimated 114,204 18KESALs per well over a 20 year design period based on Eagle Ford activity (no pipelines). SAT used the worksheet to revise the pavement design traffic values for their Energy Sector projects.
