The Cascadia Clip is made of lowconductivity material (fiberglass), which virtually eliminates the thermal bridging and related 4

3 degradation of effective thermal insulation levels that industry s current steel cladding supports cause. The latest building codes demand higher thermal performance from buildings than ever before. The ASHRAE 90.1 standard is referenced by building codes as the required performance standard for large building envelopes to meet which has stringent insulation requirements. These requirements are no longer achievable using traditional (or industry standard ) wall assemblies. The Cascadia Clip System can assist in achieving these new code requirements. The use of the spacers is cost neutral to conventional continuous steel girt systems and provides an exterior wall that insulates at least twice as well as the industry standard approach which yields energy savings for building owners for the life of the building.
