The convenient flow adjustment knob located at the nozzle enables the operator of the fogger to change the liquid flow rate being dispensed. The operator can adjust the liquid flow to dispense materials at average droplet sizes under 20 microns Droplet size will increase as the liquid flow rate is increased and will average approximately 80 microns when the liquid flow is adjusted for maximum output. Larger droplets are dispersed by air flow and can settle on surfaces. 2 FLEX-A-LITE FOGGER OPERATING INSTUCTIONS INTRODUCTION The Flex-A-Lite Fogger provides the operator with the widest range of options available for cold fog applications. The nozzle, attached to the flex hose, allows the user to easily direct the fog in, under and at objects. The convenient flow adjustment knob located at the nozzle enables the operator to change the liquid flow rate being dispensed. The operator can adjust the liquid flow to dispense materials at average droplet sizes under 20 microns. Droplets of this size remain suspended in air for extended period of time. Droplet size will increase as the liquid flow rate is increased and will average approximately 80 microns when the liquid flow is adjusted for maximum output. Larger droplets are dispersed by air flow and can settle on any surface. This characteristic makes the fogger useful for applying Sporicidin disinfectant solution to any surface. SAFE AND EFFECTIVE USE CAUTION: ALWAYS FOLLOW LABEL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPORICIDIN SOLUTION! Conduct a pretreatment walk-through and inspection to ensure that nothing is left out that you do not want to disinfect with Sporicidin. Turn off exhaust fans to keep material from drifting out of desired area. After completing the above, operation of the unit is accomplished as follows: CAUTION: ALWAYS WEAR THE APPROPRIATE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AS SPECIFIED IN PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS SECTION OF THE SPORICIDIN LABEL AND ALWAYS FOLLOW LABEL INSTRUCTIONS. Fill the unit with the designated amount of Sporicidin Disinfectant Solution for the treatment area Most applications will require an extension cord to be used with the fogger. Caution: extension cord should be a minimum of 12 gauge wire. Set the desired flow rate by turning the liquid flow adjustment knob located at the nozzle to the desired position. The output chart on the unit should be used as a guide. Find an appropriate surface (such as a wall, floor, counter top, or training table.) to perform a test spray to determine Sporicidin application rate. Hold the nozzle inches away and evenly spray the surface, being careful not to over saturate any one area. Adjust the flow nozzle as needed to provide a smooth even coat. Prior to turning the unit off, turn the liquid flow adjustment to the Off position. MAINTENANCE Inspect the venturi after use to check for wear or damage. If the venturi is worn or damaged the unit will not deliver the proper droplet size and it should be replaced immediately. Check all soft parts (hoses, gaskets, o-rings) for wear regularly. If they appear cracked, brittle or stiff replace immediately. As with any piece of chemical application equipment, always rinse and flush all containers, lines and nozzles with clean water or a suitable solvent after each and every use. This will prevent the build-up of residues and debris which can hinder the performance of the equipment. Cleaning after each application will ensure that the next time you use the fogger you won t have to worry about what materials were last used and possible incompatibilities with any material to be used. 3 WARRANTY Fogger/Sprayer Warranty: The Polarzone Fogger is warranted for one (1) year after purchase. All claims covering this warranty must be accompanied by the original Polarzone purchase invoice. This warranty covers the Polarzone Fogger and the Polarzone Sprayer for problems associated with the units and not those due to improper usage (such as inappropriate chemicals), inadequate cleaning and maintenance, and accidental damage (such as dropping the unit). All claims must be initiated by contacting Polarzone directly. Following this, Polarzone can initiate a Return Material Authorization (RMA). The unit then will be sent to Polarzone, inspected by our Quality Assurance (QA) team and, at the discretion of Polarzone, the unit will be repaired or replaced. If the unit is found to be free of defect, the customer will be contacted and the unit sent back to the customer with a status report. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser. Replacement merchandise will be at the discretion of Polarzone NW, LLC technical experts. Tampering, abuse, negligence, or use of the merchandise other than that intended by the manufacturer and Polarzone, will not be covered and will void this warranty. Damage: Merchandise damaged in transit is the responsibility of the carrier and must be noted on the bill of lading. Please notify the transportation company immediately.
