Pinovo is located in Bergen/Norway (headquarter) and Aberdeen/Scotland. 3 OUR METHOD AND TECHNOLOGY Pinovo s patented technology was developed in close co-operation with Exxon-Mobil & Shell, having a need for more efficient and HSE friendly surface maintenance in their processing plants. After years of technical research and development, the technology proved itself being superior in all HSE and Quality aspects within surface treatment. This has led to Pinovo technology today being used by a wide range of major companies within the industry, for both fabric maintenance and production/assembly. Based upon the unique technology and the mission to provide clients with a cost-effective solution for high quality surface treatment with no compromise on HSE, Pinovo has developed a broad range of tools covering most surface condition and geometries. Especially when we worked in areas where there were many other activities, it would have been impossible to sandblast unless we used Pinovo systems for the job. 4 PISYS TM PiSys TM systems are pneumatic, closed loop grit blasting and recycling units, designed for use with Pinovo tools. The PiSys TM systems control the blast media flow, collect used grit, dust, and debris, as well as reclaim the used abrasive material. The internal recycling process allows using fused brown alumina grit up to 25 times, reducing the amount of generated waste up to 90 %. The powerful vacuum generator enables the use of Pinovo closed loop grit blasting tools up to 50 meters away from the PiSys TM unit. In addition, the low noise and dust free Pinovo surface preparation process minimizes the impact on surrounding trades and equipment and provides a without further cleanup a surface ready for painting. 5 TOOL RANGE Pinovo provides a range of tools designed for different surface conditions and geometries. PiPoint TM Small hand-held tool designed for small areas with difficult access and geometries. 9 HSE / LOW NOISE AND NO VIBRATION In general, surface treatment operators are highly exposed to work related injuries such as handarm vibration syndrome and hearing loss. Use of Pinovo equipment eliminates the risk of these injuries. 11 SELECTED REFERENCES Closed loop grit blasting for asset owners with high demand for quality and safe execution in maintenance programs. Statoil Customer: Statoil End client: Statoil Site: Statoil platforms Spring 2012 the Norwegian oil company, Statoil, initiated a project which purpose was to decrease noise and vibration related injuries to their operators offshore, and to increase the quality and longevity of treated and coated surfaces. Pinovo and four major maintenance contractors were invited to participate in the project. In the beginning, Pinovo closed loop grit blasting systems were deployed at three of Statoil s offshore installations. Later, the project has been upgraded to implicate all of Statoil s offshore installations with job packages suited for Pinovo equipment. Photo: Øyvind Hagen / Statoil Conoco Phillips / Ekofisk Customer: End client: Beerenberg Conoco Phillips Site: Ekofisk March 2013 ConocoPhillips in cooperation with their maintenance contractor, Beerenberg, requested a trial of Pinovo equipment on their offshore installation Ekofisk. Today several Pinovo systems are being deployed at Ekofisk. ConocoPhillips stated a request for a trial of Pinovo closed loop grit blasting and recycling systems on Ekofisk as they have the goal of minimizing use of tools such as needle gun, conventional mechanical grinders as well as Ultra High Pressure water jetting equipment (UHP). 12 Kvaerner Stord / Eldfisk project Customer: End client: Solid Vedlikehold Kvaerner ASA Site: Stord December 2012 Kvaerner Stord in cooperation with their ISO contractor, Solid Vedlikehold, required a Pinovo closed loop grit blasting system for surface treatment work related to the EPC-contract of the topside for the Eldfisk 2/7 S platform. The project was soon expanded to involve several systems in continuous operation at the Kvaerner yard at Stord. Based on the positive experiences and the good performance during this project, Kvaerner Stord decided to use Pinovo closed loop grit blasting tools also during the fabrication of the topside of the Edvard Grieg platform / Mongstad / STS Customer: STS Gruppen AS End client: Statoil Mongstad Site: Mongstad refinery The Mongstad Refinery, opened in 1975, is Norway s largest oil refinery with a capacity of 10 million tons crude oil per year. The Mongstad plant also consist of a NGL processing plant and a crude oil terminal, which is after Rotterdam the second largest in Europe. STS Gruppen AS utilized during the fall of 2013 several Pinovo closed loop grit blasting systems.
