Having been a bit out of touch with agility since Kris retired from agility in 2009 after completing his Excellent F.A.S.T. title at 9½ years of age, I just learned AKC has a series of new Lifetime Achievement titles. The Lifetime Achievement titles came into effect July 1, 2012 and are retroactive! AKC s description of the new titles: In order to recognize consistency and longevity in the Master Agility Excellent Preferred (MXP), Master Excellent Jumpers With Weaves Preferred (MJP) and Master Excellent FAST Preferred classes, the AKC will record a Lifetime Achievement title on the dog s record. There is no limit to this achievement. The Lifetime Achievement Standard Preferred titles and requirements are: Master Bronze Agility Title = MXPB. Requires twenty-five Excellent B Agility class qualifying scores of 100. Master Silver Agility Title = MXPS. Requires the MXPB title plus twenty-five additional Excellent B Agility class qualifying scores of 100. Master Gold Agility Title = MXPG. Requires the MXPS title plus twenty-five additional Excellent B Agility class qualifying scores of 100. Master Century Agility Title = MXPC. Requires the MXPG title plus twenty-five additional Excellent B Agility class qualifying scores of 100.

2 The Lifetime Achievement Jumpers With Weaves Preferred titles and requirements are: Master Bronze Jumpers With Weaves Title = MJPB. Requires twenty-five Excellent B Jumpers With Weaves class qualifying scores of 100. Master Silver Jumpers With Weaves Title = MJPS. Requires the MJPB title plus twenty-five additional Excellent B Jumpers With Weaves class qualifying scores of 100. Master Gold Jumpers With Weaves Title = MJPG. Requires the MJPS title plus twenty-five additional Excellent B Jumpers With Weaves class qualifying scores of 100. Master Century Jumpers With Weaves Title = MJPC. Requires the MJPG title plus twenty-five additional Excellent B Jumpers With Weaves class qualifying scores of 100. I logged on to the AKC Store and checked Kris s record and there were THREE new titles added to Kris s name! During Kris s agility career he amassed 108 qualifying scores in all levels of agility. At the Master level, using the formulas above, Kris s new Lifetime Achievement titles are all Breed Firsts, too: 1) Master Bronze Agility title, MXPB 2) Master Bronze Jumpers With Weaves title, MJPB 3) Master Silver Agility title, MXPS My boy now has thirty-nine (39) titles to his name, expanding his record as the Most- Titled Saint Bernard of all time, worldwide! Kris traveled to the Rainbow Bridge in 2010 at 11+ years of age, so in his honor Sue and I will go to Dairy Queen to celebrate his three new titles. He will be there in spirit as we toast a cone and cheeseburger to the Great One! Below is a link to Kris s records.
