5 Smoke and heat extraction systems (SHE) The most important task of preventive fire protection is to keep escape and rescue paths free of smoke, because in the event of a fire the threat is not only from the fire and heat. The smoke and toxic fire gases, which arise, spread quickly, obscure vision and block the escape route. Since the toxic components lead to smoke poisoning, 90 % of all fire victims are smoke victims. Smoke and heat extraction systems help to save human life by keeping the rescue paths free of smoke. They permit fast evacuation and avoid the risk of being poisoned by smoke. Damage to property is reduced and local firefighting is possible. Natural ventilation Natural ventilation of buildings is constantly gaining in significance. Modern architecture with large glass façades together with technical advances towards better and better insulation all prevent air exchange. The natural ventilation system permits a good climate by means of the specific opening of windows and window flaps. Smoke-pressure systems The smoke-pressure system keeps stairways or internal corridors free of smoke in the event of fire. If a fire occurs a smoke extraction and fresh air flap are automatically opened and the toxic smoke is flushed out. After about 120 seconds the pressure controller starts and due to this constant overpressure the fire and smoke gases from another area are prevented from getting into the escape and rescue paths. The latest SMD production plant, an EMC measuring cabin for testing electronic controllers, our certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and innovative technologies guarantee our success and competence in the electronic safety systems market. To implement your ideas We manufacture electronic modules, which meet the highest specifications, for all areas of technology from the layout to tested PCBs, whether in small or large series. We can also manufacture your electronic modules in conventional and SMD technology with the most up-to-date plant. If so desired we can carry out 100 % final testing with our in-circuit and function testers.
