When the shade is in the raised position, the color will appear more intense. The shade must be in the lowered or closed position in order to determine commercial tolerance of color when compared to the sample book swatch. All shade materials will appear mottled to some degree and show minor flaws when an exterior light source back-lights the shade. These issues are considered acceptable inherent characteristics of the fabric. All fabrics have a small amount of flaws present that can be seen close up. We consider these flaws acceptable unless they can be seen at a distance of over 5 feet away. This is an inherent characteristic of all shade material and considered acceptable. Some billowing of fabric may also occur on strong sun windows if you raise the product quickly. To avoid this, either wait for the heat to dissipate or raise the shade very slowly. Shade material has a memory. Once a shade has billowed and been creased by raising it improperly, it tends to continue. This is not covered by our warranty. Please make your customer aware of these product notes at the point of sale. We cannot convert standard headrail shades to a Simple Ascent headrail system due to drill hole alignment.

13 CP-13 Options and Surcharges Two on One Headrail Two shades on one headrail is the option used most often when installing shades over a sliding glass door. The center gap between shades is 3/8. Each shade operates independently with its own lift control.the controls must be positioned on the left side of the left shade and on the right side of the right shade. Two-on-one head rail option is available for standard, cordfree, Simple Ascent and top down rail systems only. Price as 2 separate shades. Surcharge: $50. Skanda is not responsible for freight damage on 2-on-1 headrails over 96. Octagon and Hexagon These shades are non-operational shades. They remain in a fixed, closed position. They must have a minimum width per side of 12 and a maximum total width (edge to edge diameter) of no more than 30. Surcharge: $150. Trapezoid The trapezoid shade is operational and must open in the direction of the longest rail. This rail will be locked in a fixed position. The maximum width is 72 with a maximum height of 96. The maximum difference between the widest width and narrowest width can be no more than 12. Surcharge of $150. Cut Outs Cut outs are frequently used to avoid the protruding tile at the bottom sides of a kitchen window. The problem with using cut outs on a shade is that the length dimension of the shade in relationship to the individual cell location is not stable. The shade will stretch over time and the cell position will migrate accordingly. In other words, the height position of the cut out will change and/or move. In addition, the shade fabric may begin to fray. Please make your customer aware of these facts. Surcharge: $25 per side. Top Down Top Down shades lower from top to bottom and have only one cord lock. One set of lift cords for center rail, one set of support cords for bottom rail. When the shade is in the raised position, the color will appear more intense. The shade must be in the lowered or closed position in order to determine commercial tolerance of color when compared to the sample book swatch. All pleated materials will appear mottled to some degree and show minor flaws when an exterior light source back-lights the shade. These issues are considered acceptable inherent characteristics of the fabric. All fabrics have a small amount of flaws present that can be seen close up. We consider these flaws acceptable unless they can be seen at a distance of over 5 feet away. Some minor puckering of the fabric may occur where the fabric is attached to the headrail. This is an inherent characteristic of all pleated material and considered acceptable. Some billowing of fabric may also occur on strong sun windows if you raise the product quickly. To avoid this, either wait for the heat to dissipate or raise the shade very slowly. Pleated material has a memory. Once a shade has billowed and been creased by raising it improperly, it tends to continue. This is not covered by our warranty. Please make your customer aware of these product notes at the point of sale. We cannot convert standard headrail shades to a Simple Ascent headrail system due to drill hole alignment. We cannot add a liner to an already existing shade.

25 Two on One Headrail This option is used most often when installing shades over a sliding glass door. The center gap between shades is 3/8. Each shade operates independently with its own lift control.the controls must be positioned on the left side of the left shade and on the right side of the right shade. Two-on-one head rail option is available for standard, cordfree, Simple Ascent and top down rail systems only. Maximum width available is 120. Price as 2 separate shades. Surcharge: $50 Skandia is not responsible for freight damage on 2-on-1 headrails over 96. Octagon and Hexagon Octagon and hexagon are non-operational shades. They remain in a fixed closed position. They must have a minimum width per side of 12 and a maximum total width (edge-to edge-diameter) of no more than 30. Surcharge: $150 Trapezoid Shade The trapezoid shade is operational and must open in the direction of the longest rail. This rail will be locked in a fixed position. The maximum width is 72 with a maximum height of 96. The maximum difference between the widest width and narrowest width can be no more than 12. Surcharge: $150 Cut Outs Cut outs are frequently used to avoid the protruding tile at the bottom sides of a kitchen window. The problem with using cut outs on a shade is that the length dimension of the shade in relationship to the individual cell location is not stable. The shade will stretch over time and the cell position will migrate accordingly. In other words, the height position of the cut out will change and/or move. In addition, the shade fabric may begin to fray. Please make your customer aware of these facts. Surcharge: $25 each side Top Down Top down shades lower from top to bottom and have only one cord lock. They have a maximum width of 72 with a maximum length of 96. Minimum width limitation is 12. Alanna top down shades cannot be multiple paneled. Not available on Simple Ascent rail system. Surcharge: $50 CP-25 Top Down/Bottom Up Top down bottom up shades lower from top to bottom or raise from bottom to top. The shades have two independently functioning cord locks. These shades require twice the number of cords for their operation. Because of this, over time, top down bottom up shades tend to require minor adjustments as the cords stretch. Please make your customer aware of this. The shades have a maximum width of 72 with a maximum length of 96. Minimum width limitation is 12. Alanna shades cannot be multiple paneled for this application. Not available on Simple Ascent rail system. 35 CP-35 Shade Operation Treanna feature the Omni-View Cord System. The Omni-View System provides the ability to manipulate the shade into various viewing positions. From the closed and retracted position (fabric inside the headrail), lower the fabric by pulling down on the rear of the loop cord until you reach the desired shading position. Once the shade is lowered completely to the window sill, continuing to pull the cord in the same direction will open the horizontal fabric vanes, offering varied views to the outside. Continuing to pull the cord in the same direction will lift the shade while still in the view-through mode. To retract the shade, simply pull down on the front of the cord until the shade reaches the desired viewing mode or fabric position. Viewing Options Treanna provides a number of varied views to the outside for controlling light and privacy. Consequently, there are variations in visibility through the shade when the vanes are tilted to their maximum open positions. The following five modes can be obtained with standard shade operation when viewing the shade at eye level. Closed Top - Open Bottom - By partially lowering the shade from the fully raised position, the upper portion of your window will become semiopaque while allowing a clear view below. Privacy - When lowered completely, Treanna pro vides some privacy when vanes are closed, and softly diffuses light. Partially Open - Opening Treanna slightly will grad u al ly increase the level of light and allow varying levels of view-through. View Through When Lowered - By completely open ing the vanes, Treanna provides a softened, veiled view to the outside. View Through When Raised - From the open or View-Through position, continuing to pull down on the back of the cord will raise the fabric allowing a clear view outside from below, and a veiled view above. Treanna can be raised up to 24 in this mode. Vane Opening Vanes on the two styles of sheer fabrics open to slightly different degrees. Consequently, there are variations in visibility through the shadings when the vanes are tilted to their maximum open positions. The variations among the styles are shown in the below illustrations when looking through the shading one quarter of the way up from the bottom. 2 Sheer Fabric 2 Light Dimming 3 All Fabrics Length Considerations Skandia will fabricate your Treanna shade to the exact length ordered, when the vanes are in the open or view-through position. However, because the vanes rotate when closing, the shade will become 3/8 longer Open 3/8 in the closed position. When lowered, a slight puckering can occur on the lower most sheer section. To compensate, slightly raise the shade until the rail begins to lift off the window sill. If preferred, Treanna can be ordered at 3/8 less than the mea sured length. In this case, the bottomrail will be positioned 3/8 above the sill when the vanes are in the open position. Ro tat ing the vanes closed will cause the bottomrail to meet the sill, closing any space. (See figure above). Headrail Depth Requirements Headrail / End Cap 3-9/16 Product Information Bracket 3-1/4 Closed Window Shadings Shade Vane Closure Bottomrail The Treanna Shade is designed to block out the light and provide privacy when closed. However, the inherent na - ture of the fabric will cause a slight in crease in the distance from the front to the back sheer, as you move further down on the shading. These vanes do not form a perfect seal against light leakage and is most visible toward the bottom of the shading. (See figure at right) Vane closure is measured as the distance between the front and rear fabric sheers 6 up from the lowest point of the bottom rail, with the shading fully lowered and the vanes closed. For translucent shadings, the maximum distance from the front sheer to the back sheer when closed is 7/8. On room darkening fabrics, the distance is 5/8. 7/8 6 2 The Treanna headrail is extruded aluminum with an insert groove on the front portion. A color coordinating fabric is inserted into the groove. 36 CP-36 Window Shadings Specifications Measuring Instructions Inside Mount: Measure across the width of your window opening in three different places - top, middle, bottom. Measure the length of the window opening from the underside of the soffit to the surface of the window sill in two places. Use the smaller of these two measurements. Measurements should be taken within the window jamb. Provide the smallest of the three measurements to Skandia. Be exact. Skandia will make the necessary deductions to fit the window opening. Outside Mount: Measure the exact width and length of the area to be covered. On the width, allow at least 1-1/2 of an overlap on each side. An overlap of 3 on each side is recommended. Be sure to take into consideration any obstructions such as window trim, molding, locks and window cranks. Side Mount: Treanna may be side mounted using L brackets. For side mounts, follow the instructions for inside mounts. An additional 1/2 will be taken off the standard inside-mount deduction to allow room for the L brackets. The maximum shade width utilizing the side-mount option is 48. Side-by-Side Alignment When Treanna shades are installed side-by-side, vane alignment can be guaranteed within 1/4 only if the shades are the same color and ordered at the same time, AND the sum total of the widths of all shades needing alignment is less than 102, AND shades are the exact same length, AND side-by-side lineup is specified when the order is placed. Fabric Collection Treanna shades are available in either a two- or three-inch cell size and three fabric styles. Light filtering sheer, light filtering linen (two-inch cell only) and room darkening. Please note that room darkening does not mean blackout. Cleaning and Care The soft delicate feel of Treanna Window Prod ucts be lies the durability of the material. Treanna is made from sturdy, knitted polyester fabric and may be feather dust ed. Spots or stains can be lightly rubbed clean with a damp sponge and mild soap. To avoid discoloration of the ma te ri al, we recommend against the use of chemical cleaners. Treanna may be cleaned ultrasonically. Light Gap There will be a larger light gap on the control side of the shade for all inside mounts. The pictures below are of the same shade. The left side gap is considerably narrower than the right control side gap. This is an inherent design of this product. Hardware Hold Down Brackets Hold down brackets for Treanna are designed to provide the full range of operational control and motion that makes the Treanna product so unique. The tab on the end caps of the bottomrail will hold the fabric in place for door or win dow mounting, when the shade is completely lowered. The shade will disengage from the hold down bracket, and can be raised or lowered at any time, by simply adjusting the stan dard operating cord. Extension Brack ets Extension or L brackets are available, which can be used to project the back of the shade 4-1/4 from the mounting sur face. Spacer Blocks Projects the shading 1/2 from the mounting surface. Use spacer blocks to obtain clearance when obstructions, such as window cranks or door handles, obstruct the movement of the shading. Cord Tensioner The cord tensioner keeps the shade cord taut to prevent children and pets from entangling and subsequently injuring themselves. It also allows the bead chain and roll stop to pass through easily, as well as the nylon cord. Cord tensioners must be used with Treanna for this product to comply with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Child Safety Guidelines. Adjust Bottomrail Skewing on Two- and Three-Inch Vane Fabrics To adjust skewing, weights can be added to or removed from the bottomrail end caps. Remove the end cap from the bottomrail on the finished shading. Add weight to the side the fabric shifts to, or remove weight from the opposite side. Extra weights are included in the hardware package. 2-on-1, 3-on-1 Headrails Treanna is not available as a 2-on-1 or as a 3-on-1 headrail.
