2 Ordering XL Pleat Shades STEP 1 SELECT FABRIC Enter fabric catalog # and color into the XL Pleat Order Form. Confirm the Fabric Width meets the width requirements of the window. If the window width exceeds the fabric width, confirm the fabric can be overlapped. STEP 2 MOUNTING AND MEASUREMENTS Select Inside or Outside Mount and enter accurate Width and Length measurements of the window opening ( Inside mount) or, the area you are covering ( Outside Mount) into the Order Form. STEP 3 CONTROLS Select which side the controls are to be located. Enter selection into Order Form. STEP 4 CONFIRM PRICE FROM CHARTS Reference Retail Price charts A E on pages to confirm Price of Shade. STEP 5 WINDOW HARDWARE Indicate if Projection Brackets, Hold Down Brackets and / or Cord Cleats are required. These are No Charge Options. STEP 6 SELECT OPTIONAL CORD MECHANISMS Add Continuous Cord Loop or Cordless to your shade surcharge applies, otherwise the system will come with a Cord Lock mechanism which is standard on all systems. STEP 7 SELECT OPTIONS AND UPGRADES Select any Options and Upgrades from Page 28; Adding Black Out liner to shades, Top / Down / Bottom Up Corded or Cordless systems, or 2 on 1 head rail systems. 3 XL PLEAT Fabrics and Product Information Coulisse Fabrics Pleated Shade fabrics are selected from the Coulisse 50 mm Pleat for XL Living Book. The fabrics are referenced in the books with the catalog # s and color, and symbols indicating the width, transparency and, moisture and fire characteristics. A complete material chart may be referenced for additional information in the back of the XL Pleat Fabric Book. Fabrics range in width from 71 to 93 and may be overlapped to achieve a wider shade. Note, when requesting an Overlap, it must be done in 2 places for each shade. A single Overlap is not available. 2 Shades on 1 Head Rail may also be used to cover windows wider than the fabric width. The minimum width for a single XL Pleated Shade is 18. Please consult notes at the bottom of each Retail Price Charts (A E) for any exceptions for fabric overlapping. Shades may be made using Black Out Pleated Shade, or to have a black out liner added to the original shade fabric selected. See Options and Upgrade Retail Price Charts (A E) Lift Systems & Head Rails Deluxe Headrail with Cord Lock is standard with all systems and included in the Retail Price Charts. The Deluxe Headrail will include; Deluxe cord control with color coordinated cord Controls may be placed on the Right or Left of the shade. Headrail and Bottom rail are color coordinated to shade. Standard Decorative Pull is Satin Nickel Cylinder (standard). Options and Upgrades include: Cordless ( Min Width : 36, Max Width : 84 ) Continuous Cord Loop with clutch mechanism for larger shades (Exceeding 72 wide or 72 long) o NOT compatible with Top Down / Bottom Up systems Top Down / Bottom Up lift for both Corded and Cordless systems. 2 Shades on 1 Headrail ( 2 on 1) use to cover a window width that exceeds the fabric width Motorization and Controls Use Shade Specification Guide on page 29 for all maximum shade widths and lengths for all Options and Upgrades. Reduces solar heat gain and gives solar protection. Dim out: A room darkening fabric that absorbs approximately 50-70% of a direct light source. Black out: Fabric that blocks out approximately 99% of the sun s harmful Ultraviolet rays. Provides the best privacy and light reduction. Moist conditions: Water resistant fabric that performs well in high humidity. locations. Fire retardant: Fabric that is certified as FR has been topically treated in an immersion process with a chemical fire retardant after the fabric has been woven. 12 XL Pleat Motorization Options All motorized shades are hung and tested in our factory prior to shipment. The limits are set and control transmitters are pre-programmed for easy installation. Wireless Controls All Controls are wireless and are pre-programmed at the factory with limits pre-set. Controls may be Single Channel for controlling one motor, or Multi-channel to control up to five (5) motors. Controls come in two ( 2 ) options: Hand Held Remote Controls ; Single ( 1 motor ) or Multi-channel ( up to 5 motors ) Wall Switches (Single or Multi-channel) Universal Controller This option should only be suggested when connecting to a Home Automation System. Inform your customer that this system converts RS232/RS485/IR to RTS (Radio Transmit Somfy). RTS controls the motor on the roller shade. 13 XL Pleat Head Rail Overview DELUXE HEADRAIL CORD LOCK SYSTEM Standard systems include Deluxe Cord Lock (Included in Price Chart) Surcharge upgrades may be specified for either Cordless or Continuous Cord Loop. System features; Deluxe Headrail / Bottomrail are color coordinated to the shade. Color-coordinated cord. Deluxe Cord Lock Controls can be placed on the right or left CONTINUOUS CORD SYSTEM Continuous-looped (white cord) raises & lowers the shade vvvv keeping the cord the same length at all times. Ideal for large shades ( over 72 wide or over 72 long ) Operated by a clutch mechanism with controls on Left or Right. Deluxe Headrail / Bottomrail are color coordinated to the shade. Color-coordinated ladder cords. CORDLESS SYSTEM Eliminates the lift cord for a sleeker appearance. Available in single panels of fabric; can NOT be overlapped.
